Tuesday, June 14, 2011. So Father's Day is just around the corner, and I just wanted to take a moment to brag on my awesome husband (something I don't do often enough! He is very modern day Daddy. He shares ALL of the baby duties with me. We alternate nights getting up with Katelyn, he gives her baths when Mommy needs a break, he even changes diapers sometimes. Saturday, September 25, 2010. And by that, I mean not so much. :( It started last weekend when Katelyn got a stomach bug. Thank goodness it didn't come with the vomiting though. Monday I had to stay home with her, which wasn't bad we just hung out all day, watched TV and changed LOTS of diapers. Miss Kitty made it all better though. By Wednesday and Thursday, we thought our week had taken a turn for the better. Katelyn's tummy was all better and her bruises are healing nicely. Posted by Karen Atkins.

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Katelyn's new favorite word is Dada. Since yesterday, she has been talking up a storm about Dada. It just amazes me how much they can learn in just a few months. Thursday, May 12, 2011. With Katelyn being so mobile now and with Nibbler so eager to play, we some times need a break from the dogs, so we created a playroom for Katelyn. We sold our dining room table and fenced off the dinning room. Now we have a place that is hair and slobber free (well dog slobber free; it has plenty of Katelyn slobber) to play! Empty dinning room. Just sold the table. Gave it a good vacuuming and shampooing. Here's the gate. I'll have to get more pictures now that it is complete.

Saturday, April 21, 2012. Anyway, off my soapbox for now. So far, it seems to be working. We haven't had to spank Katelyn. I always find other ways to correct her, and I think she's a pretty good kid. Anyway. just a little background for these pictures. I thought this was funny. Katelyn put Derf, our Elf on the Shelf. Sunday, July 10, 2011. I can not believe this girl is one now. I don't know where the time went, yet at the same time, it's hard to remember life before her. We couldn't have asked for a better daughter. She is just perfect! Her actual birthday, June 15, was pretty uneventful at home, but she celebrated at daycare. She must have known it was her birthday, because she was all smiles. The sign on the door at daycare that her sitter made her. They even had little miniature cupcakes during lunch.

Friday, August 27, 2010. Katelyn finally hit the double digit weeks. She turned 10 weeks old Tuesday. I guess I can stop counting weeks and start counting in months instead. I can't help it though. Every Tuesday, I think about her being another week older. It's amazing how silly we will act just to get her to smile. It's our favorite part of the day. She also really enjoys bath time and sometimes will kick or hit the water. I don't know if she means to, but she seems to enjoy it. Posted by Karen Atkins.

Sunday, October 31, 2010. Katelyn went to physical therapy last week. The therapist asked me to put her on the mat on her back. When I did, she was acting like she wanted to roll over. The therapist, just making conversation with Katelyn, was saying, "what are you doing? You can't roll over yet. You can't roll over." About a minute later, what did she do? She rolled over.
