It's been way too long since I've updated here. I've got a lot of things on my plate lately. I did finally get around to updating my gigposters page. Recently, but you've probably already seen most of it here. I've also started using Pinterest. Some of what I would usually post on here (cool images, things I want to buy, etc) has ended up being dumped over there, so if you want to check out some neat stuff, you can check out my pinterest page. Bearface!: New Babies
http://bearfacedesign.blogspot.com/2012/08/new-babies.html
As you may already know, Jenna and I brought home a new baby into our home recently. Finnegan is a Bichon/Sheltie cross, and we love him, even when he's being crazy. He starts puppy school tonight, and he can already sit, fetch, and shake a paw, so I've got high hopes for being able to teach him even more. At work, my new baby is the aforementioned Art, Design and Architecture series. Most exciting to me of all is the film I'm presenting myself, Just Like Being There. In Lunenburg, and White Elephant.

Been pretty busy lately with various things. Bunch of Queen Street Yoga posters, some club posters (like that pretty basic 'artist photo' poster up above, not my favourite type of poster to do, but I try to make them a little interesting) and a new BRFC project or two in the works. I've been amassing a tonne of links to share, but just haven't gotten around to it. It's unlikely that we'll show I Saw The Devil, but I can't stop going back to look at this poster. And, just to burn off a couple more links t...

More new posters. Those in the know may notice that my posters of late are very Lost Type. Heavy Loving their fonts. LOVING. A tip for you, if you're doing anything design-wise lately, check out Lost Type. Pay What You Can for awesome fonts. This Les Breastfeeders poster is possibly my raciest poster ever. Says a lot about my design preferences I think. Links to this post. Two weeks ago I was asked to do a rush poster for a labour day club night at Starlight. Links to this post. Things have been pretty busy and exciting around here of late, but possibly the most exciting thing to happen for me this year (and I can say that safely because my wedding was last year) happens next week. Graphic designer, and the man behind Field Notes. Is coming to give his Tall Tales From a Large Man talk at the Princess Twin on Thursday April 26. Words from the man himself: "Tall tales. Big words. Orange things. Big posters. Loose chatter. Laffs. Truth. DO NOT miss this! Got featured in the first i...

December 8 will mark my third winter Stitch 'n' Kitsch show. I'm pretty excited about it, and am working on some new products to sell at it as well. I'm also pretty excited about the advertising I created for this show. It started with the postcard, up above. I created it (okay, actually a variation of it.) back in Spring. I was pretty happy with it right away. So I created a 'final' version of it to use in everything. Lastly we decided to run a movie-sized poster in the lobby of the Princess Twin. I am ...

A little while back, Hilary. Approached me about doing some work for her place of business. That place of business happens to be the City of Kitchener, so of course I said yes right away. Obviously I also think Hilary is awesome, so that helped a little too. What has ended up coming out of this is some of my favourite work I've done to date. The City, via Hilary, has essentially let me create whatever I thought suited each of these posters, with a little guidance of course. Links to this post. I am a sma...

It's Valentine's day, so it's time for a semi-romantic blog post I've been meaning to post for awhile. I have been a fan of Field Notes. Sadly, that notebook sat mostly unused, until we started wedding planning. Then she had it everywhere, and I couldn't have been happier. On the day of our wedding Jenna and I had our 'first look' together in her parents backyard. Just us, and our two photographers. She looked amazing. Then I stood back and noticed that her dress had pockets! Links to this post.
