Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Ventage Tuesday - Year of the Awesome. Funny that 2013 starts on a Tuesday. The Ventage girls are a pretty reflective group. Katrina. And I shared some hilarious email the week before Christmas where she said she loved the week AFTER Christmas more than the week OF Christmas. I like the week after too - except all the reflecting". Friday, August 16, 2013. We leave for vacation in less than 18 hours. Family time, unplugged time, outdoors time. Sounds wonderful, huh? Well, it sounds great except for the next 18 hours of finishing work projects, laundry, planning, packing, trying to peel the kids off the walls. That sounds pretty painful. But don't worry. I have resolved the following:. 1 I will enjoy December and the Christmas holiday. 2 I will NOT try and do everything, just do a few things well. 3 I will try and instill in my children that joy is from doing and being not having. 4 I will NOT allow my parents to guilt me into doing something for Christmas that does not work for my family. 5 I will make time to see my professional friends and celebrate a good year with them. 6 I will NOT constantly complain about how busy I am.
