White Coat Tales: February 2014
http://whitecoatails.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 28, 2014. In my last post I talked about how I was going to be stepping back from my research for a bit after some set-backs occurred. Well, I was wrong. My research mentor actually wants to move to the next step of re-submitting for IRB approval with modifications like right now. So, I thought. I was only going to have to worry about planning Mirth for the next two weeks (which is plenty to handle itself), butttttt I was wrong. Man, at least I can say I really ended 4th year with a bang!

White Coat Tales: November 2013
http://whitecoatails.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 4, 2013. I was starting to panic that BF and I didn't have enough interviews in overlapping geographical areas, but we met with one of our deans, and he assured us that we should be OK. *Should be* Not exactly a phrase that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, haha, but hey, I'll take what I can get. Anyway, see what I did there? I've been trying to use my free time to spend time with family and friends. See below! BF and I were ninjas for Halloween. J came to Sacramento too!

Sunday, May 26, 2013. I Must Be A Masochist. TGS2CKIO. (Thank goodness Step 2 CK is over). The actual test was a bit harder than I anticipated, but if I score anywhere near my practice test score, I'll be happy. Unlike Step 1, however, the 9 hours seemed to fly by. At least it's over! And I am so glad BF and I got it out of the way, especially while all the material from third year was "fresh" in our minds. Fingers crossed while I wait for my score! Dr Coffee's Brain Banter. This week break went by way.

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. And On To The Next One. I can't believe I made it through a month of SICU relatively unscathed. It was actually enjoyable. Yep, that's right. I said it. Enjoyable. BF (as I'm typing this post prior. To publishing it), "Oh, are you blogging? BF: "What are you blogging about? Me: "YES. but also about other stuff.". BF: "Like Step 2? Me: "YES . what else? BF: "Finishing your first Acting Internship". Me: "Wtf, how do you know? Do you even read my blog? Links to this post. I have been...

White Coat Tales: April 2014

Thursday, April 24, 2014. Back To Where It All Started. Before I talk about our moving adventures, I think I'm just gonna go ahead and spill the beans about where we ended up matching. I'm always hesitant to disclose any information that is too identifying on this blog, for fear that it may be held against me professionally. However, I think there are enough programs in our city that you wouldn't even be able to guess which. Here goes: We're going to Philadelphia, y'all! Okay, now I'm going to carry on.

Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Graduation week was a blur. Got to spend a lot of time with family and friends, which was lovely. Said goodbye to a lot of amazing friends that I've made over the past four years, which was bittersweet. My mentor and IDOL! Yes, they played a Beyonce video at my graduation (I was here). It was fantastic. June 21, 2014 at 8:34 PM. Enjoy the celebrations.you deserve them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. So long, Volvo. The One With the Red Stethoscope.

White Coat Tales: August 2013
http://whitecoatails.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 30, 2013. Dear Right Side of Brain, Please Wake Up. One of the unfortunate consequences of going into a super left-sided-brain profession, is that if you don't make an effort to nurture the right side of your brain, it atrophies*. I can make a ton of excuses about lack of time, lack of energy, blah blah blah. But the truth of the matter is that I have done a piss-poor job of paying attention to my right brain. My various attempts at pretty nails. When I made these cute uteri magnets. This ...

White Coat Tales: July 2013
http://whitecoatails.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 20, 2013. Back In OB/Gyn Land. I'm halfway through my Gyn Onc Sub-I (aka AI/Acting Internship), and I am so. Glad to be back with my people. I realized it's been almost a year since I've done any OB/Gyn rotation, so I'm a little rusty on some stuff, but it's all coming back to me. I never rotated through Gyn Onc as a third year, so a lot of the oncology material is new to me, but that's why I'm really glad I chose this particular Sub-I, because I'm learning a ton.
