SteveMount.com Posting 3: Croes are not always exons
http://stevemount.outfoxing.com/Posting0003.html
Croes are not exactly exons. I have thought for many years that the genomics community needs a term other than 'exon' for coding segments. This post points out how lacking such a name has led to misuse of the word 'exon'. I also suggest that the word 'croe' be used instead, but my primary purpose here is to call attention to the need for new names. I would be happy to have other names used properly. I am grateful to Myles Axton (Nature Genetics 37 :15 (01 Jan 2005) Touching Base; Full Text. Xon, pronounc...

Ken Lay's defense seems to be that he not only didn't understand what was wrong with his actions at the time, but he still doesn't get it. ( Floyd Norris, NT Times. SteveMount.com Posting 1: George W. Bush
http://stevemount.outfoxing.com/Posting0001.html
George W. Bush. In just two days we are going to have a Presidential election and, if the polls are even remotely correct, about half of the electorate will vote for George W. Bush. From my perspective, this is amazing. In this posting, I'm going to consider their reasons and present my response to them. Do they feel more secure now than they did in 2000? Fiscal responsibility and big government. After graduation, W's business career in the energy business (Arbusto Oil and Spectrum 7) can be summarized a...

Steve Mount's personal and political views. For science, see " On Genetics. Saturday, April 23, 2005. Passover came after Easter this year. I will be going to a Seder tonight. Theologically, it makes sense to celebrate Easter after Passover, because the Last Supper was a Passover Seder. In fact, th...
