Sunday, March 17, 2013. This Spring Break we drove down to Baton Rouge for lunch and New Orleans for the evening. We had a great time walking the French Quarter and taking in the sights of the city and enjoying the delicious foods (especially the beignets). I can't wait for summer. Saturday, September 21, 2013. From Charleston, it's only a two hour road trip to Mrytle Beach Our hotel was on the boardwalk which had lots of restaurants and tourist shops to explore. Our first night we enjoyed dinner on the Pier and fireworks off the beach. Thursday and Friday were spent all day at the beach enjoying the waves. Mike enjoyed playing in the waves. Sunday, December 30, 2012. Our second grade field trip was to the Dallas Arboretum to see the exhibits and attend the H20 classroom simulation. The Chihuly exhibit was still there and so neat to see. Saturday, March 31, 2012. We had some time to spare before our shuttle back to the hotel was suppose to pick us up so we decided to spend a few hours at Epcot. We rode a few rides but spent most of the time in the International Park. International Park was definitely the best part of Epcot other than the ride about the Future. They had all the characters created out of flowers and plants which was pretty cool to see. Our final day in Florida was planned to spend the day at Magic Kingdom. Our second half ...

Thursday, December 29, 2011. We have made it a tradition to go see ICE every year. The theme this year is Shrek. All of the sculptures were from Shrek the Halls the movie. Thanksgiving and Football Game. This year Thanksgiving was at our house. It was a lot of fun cooking and not having to travel this year. I would definitely host again.
