AmbassadorVincent: Come Through for a Visit
http://ambassadorvincent.blogspot.com/2008/07/come-through-for-visit.html
Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Come Through for a Visit. Also check out the atrium on the 4th floor. Slightly smaller and definitely less well known than the cafeteria atrium the 4th floor atrium is a great place to study or catch up on some reading before class. Somewhere between the library and the other atrium in volume the 4th floor atrium is a good spot. Not too loud to read but definitely a place amenable to some intense debate. Monday, January 26, 2009. Help Wanted by Scribbles. No sooner had the recent presidential race been decided than the “talking heads” were already speculating about the possible candidates for the 2012 race. Similarly, no sooner had I gotten to law school than people were asking me to think about jobs after graduation. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To Brief or Not to Brief. SJU Law Moot Court. Monday, November 17, 2008. From Cube to Classroom: By Scribbles. I worked for several years before going to law school, and it is certainly a big change from corporate life. Now I enjoy a relaxed dress code, flexible hours, and time to actually talk about issues instead of always running around solving one crisis after another. It’s a lot of fun, but there are also some real adjustments to get used to. It's Different Here: By Night Rose. Sure, I did homework in undergrad. like the day before! I have been...

AmbassadorVincent: Housing Options
http://ambassadorvincent.blogspot.com/2008/09/housing-options.html
Monday, September 15, 2008. Finding a nice place to live while you're in law school is a critical component of your education. The greater New York City real estate market can be intimidating. While there are beautiful private residences all over queens, St. John's Law School offers another option: law student only, near-campus housing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). AmbassadorVincent: Think Culture
http://ambassadorvincent.blogspot.com/2008/07/think-culture.html
Wednesday, July 23, 2008. I assure you that there is more to making an informed decision about where to attend law school than simply comparing rankings. It’s a matter of determining the culture of the school and assessing how you fit within that culture. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to the Admissions Office Blog. Monday, August 4, 2008. To Brief or Not to Brief. One of the biggest questions facing 1L's is the question of whether or not to brief the cases we are assigned to read. Most professors will tell their students that briefing is absolutely necessary to a successful 1L year. But is that really the case? Here's what I think. The most important aspect of obtaining a legal education is reading and understanding the cases. One should brief to the extent that briefing will serve this goal. SJU Law Moot Court.

Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Don’t think of it was writing. I repeat, if you think of legal writing as writing you will fail. Writing is about telling a story; setting scene, perhaps character development, rising action and resolution. Writing can be enjoyable, sometimes people even find it cathartic. Legal Writing is not like that at all. Your best bet is to think of Legal Writing as math. Remember geometry proofs? If you don’t remember, refresh yourself. Accuracy v. Precision. That are fired at a target&#...

Sunday, November 2, 2008. Hon Milton Mollen Competition. Before a nearly full gallery in the Moot Court Room and a panel of distinguished jurists, four of the top 2L oral advocates of the St. John’s University School of Law Moot Court Honor Society argued to the Supreme Court of the United States the case of Gloria Esteban v. Old York University at the annual Hon. Milton Mollen Competition. When the arguments were over and the rebuttal presented, the judges retired to chambers to deliberate briefly. ...
