Thursday, February 26, 2009. Today was a big milestone day for Ovya. She turned from back to tummy. And then seemed to be in a hurry to crawl, sit up, walk, run etc! She has been doing it all day now, and is very non-chalant about it, even as we are so excited. She has been turning from tummy to back for ages since I put her to sleep on her tummy. So we were waiting for this day anxiously. She has been doing great with Cerelac that I started last Monday, and I am thinking of upping it to 2 feeds/day.

Monday, June 30, 2008. Kav completes 2 weeks at pre-school. Kav has been loving it there! There are more disciplined than his former school, with a bit more structure. They do many fun stuff almost everyday, and are great at keeping the parents in the loop, which was a major gripe for me before. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Ovya gave me her first smile today when I was playing with her! It was funny since she was squinting at me hard and then broke into a beaming, 'pokka vaayee' smile. I can't wait for Rajesh to see it and get his heart broken as well :). She has been trying to focus onto faces and objects for over a week now. Monday, December 22, 2008. Ovya had her doc appt on Saturday and she weighed in at a healthy. With a head circumference of 38 cms. Saturday, December 20, 2008. A study of contrasts. Ovya is exactly 3 mos old today and weighed in at. 375 kgs at the end of 2 mos. During her last appointment exactly a month back. She has her shots this evening and I am very curious how much weight she would have put on. About 800 gms would be my guess. She has also become a good sleeper since getting her to sleep on her tummy. That is the best advice I have ever received on child rearing :). Left: Kiddos dressed for Karthigai). Monday, September 17, 2007. First ride on the bike! Today was one fun day for Kav and me. Since Rajesh was out of town, I'd asked his playschool car to pick him up in the morning. Come 9.30 and with the car not in sight, I decided to just take the plunge and put Kav on my 2-wheeler and haul him off to school. But he was just fine, chattering away about the buses and autos and cars and dogs. It was just soooo much fun. Can't wait for tomorrow morning! Saturday, September 08, 2007. Kavin is talking a lot!

He walked along the sofa while holding onto it. Stand up by himself - Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Kavin held onto a leather stool and stood up by himself to get to the laptop placed on it. He was pretty stable and stood for quite a while while banging on the laptop. He got onto his knees and crawled great!
