George Twigg, aged 89, retired chemist and salt researcher/historian in Cheshire died peacefully on 25th November, 2016 after a long illness. His funeral was held on 5th December. 14 January 2017 at 03:32. Sad to learn of Georges death. He contributed an enormous amount towards the academic study of the history of salt production.
