Surviving in Searcy: WOW!!
http://survivinginsearcy.blogspot.com/2007/07/wow.html
I'm still growing up. Friday, July 20, 2007. The previous post was a very brief update on baby Ethan. God is obviously doing a great thing in this baby's life. Truly a miracle. Please look at their website. They are at day 160, and they've updated everyday, so that's alot of reading. But if you just read from a few days back you can get the gist of it. My faith is being renewed from following this story. Take a look: www.ethanpowell.com. Ok, so this has nothing to do with this post, but hello!

Small town girl: July 2008
http://let-smalltowngirl.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Oven Update and Michigan Trip. We ate supper at the Apache Trout Grill, which is a great place to eat. I had trout. Here's the first picture I took with my new camera, the old one taking a little "swim" thanks to Ethan. This Lotus was in the parking lot. I know I'm getting old because the first thought I had about it was how hard it must be to get down into it! This picture is from the Dunes Trail near Glen Haven. They really ought to invest in some a/c, though. Ideas for this b...

Small town girl: March 2008
http://let-smalltowngirl.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 3, 2008. Emily's birthday was last Sunday, the 24th, but we had her party the Saturday before. It was a "backward birthday," where the kids wore their clothes backward, and the cupcakes were upside down, etc. I wore my sweater backwards, but didn't even try the jeans that way. My in-laws got to be here. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving. Don't we clean up well? There was a silent auction and a live auction. We bid on a 30G iPod and won! Airplane, but that was WAY out of our range.

Small town girl: December 2008
http://let-smalltowngirl.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 23, 2008. I was cleaning up the kitchen a couple of days ago and the kids were playing with something at the table, when out of the blue, Ethan asks, "Mommy, what's a truluff? I really couldn't tell if he had said "truluff" or "trula." I kept asking him, "What? Finally exasperated, he says, "You know, in that song, On the first day of Christmas my "truluff" gave to me.". We had a long laugh over that one. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. I already acquired some toys, grooming tools, and odo...

Small town girl: From the Mouths of Babes
http://let-smalltowngirl.blogspot.com/2008/09/from-mouths-of-babes.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. From the Mouths of Babes. Here's something funny Emily said the other day. We were in Branson and had stopped at a gas station so John could get a beverage (Mountain Dew). He came back to the car with a package of Starburst candy. He split it in two and gave half to each of the kids-then he asked, "Emily, do you know why Daddy gave you that candy? The expected answer was, "Because you love us." But no, she says, "So we'll be quiet? Ethan: Mommy, was that a Beetle? The Wind Van...

Box Cars, Luau, and Missing Teeth. 160;She decided the way she wanted it done.I did insert my 2 cents here because she wanted to use cotton balls as the fur and with the way we procrastinated to get it done it would take too long to spray paint 5000 cotton balls. So we used quilt ...On this sa...

corncobb: Fair-ly Well
http://cornycorncobb.blogspot.com/2008/09/fair-ly-well.html
Sunday, September 14, 2008. Well, the fair is over for another year. Things I liked about this year:. Seeing Lou get SO VERY excited about "Elvis" and getting to eat with him. Having one of our 4-Hers win the Fair Queen contest and do a great job as Queen. The Dove ice cream that I ate way too much of. The BBQ running out before I was sick of it. The cookies Willie brought! Getting to see people. Seeing people so excited about their ribbons. Hearing the applause for Brian's "mutton-busting" skills.
