Stranraer Lifeboat Station: History. Our Lifeboat Station is located in Foreland Place, Stranraer next to Agnew Park. The Station houses our Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 (No:LR84) and the Ib1 Lifeboat D-697 "Stranraer Saviour". Within the boathouse lower floor are the mechanics workshop, the Lifeboat, Land Rover, crew changing/showering facilities and storage areas. The upper floor has a training/conference room, The LOM's Office and a fitness room along with toilet and storage facilities.

To give you an idea of some of the incidents our volunteers are involved in here is a brief summary of a few of them. Paged via Clyde Coastguard to a fisherman that had fallen from the cliffs at the Mull of Galloway. Arrived on scene at 08:25hrs, proceeded to commence search patterns.
