I'm doing some summer courses to finish my academic qualifications to teach Resource and one of my courses requires that I conduct research interviews with Early Childhood Educators who have had experience working with students with Autism. Is there anyone here who would be willing to submit to a half-hour interview via either Skype or Ventrillo (or iChat if they're Mac-friendly :-D)? July 20th, 2010 07:40 pm (UTC). WoW Addict in the making...: geekparents
http://geekparents.livejournal.com/527548.html
WoW Addict in the making. My son got a real treat this weekend. his father got him his "own" WoW account. No more borrowing my account to play the one toon I permitted in my slots. He can now indulge his burgeoning character ADD and create alts to his heart's content. My husband is going to make a Panderan to level exclusively with the boy. Good father-son bonding time. :-). The weather is (finally! Getting cooler here in California so I figured it was time to get my son some new clothes. $5 long-sleeve t-shirts from Target plus a little freezer paper and fabric paint makes for some awesome designs. :). Two Doctor Who shirts and a generic superhero one. ;) The sonic screwdriver one isn't actually finished - I still need to add the tip as soon as I get around to buying the correct color of fabric paint. Quote on it. :D. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post.

http://geekparents.livejournal.com/527283.html
My desk, in the nerdcorner, at home. Hello all. :-). I've just become a mom as well, to a wonderful little girl, Alexandra. One and a half month now. And yes. We are, indeed, a geeky family. :-). Are both computer-nerds, playing lots of games (he SWTOR WoW and me only WoW). Plus that I am also involved in various fandoms online and we collect various movies and TV-shows on DVD, action dolls, fantasy books, scifi books, and we are both active in the vampire- LARP. But after three IVF-treatments.

Goodbye Sir Terry - Spark In Darkness
http://sparkindarkness.livejournal.com/523225.html
March 12th, 2015. There was a time in my life where escapsim was all that made it endurable. And Discworld was always my first escape, my life raft, my sanctuary. Ive read those books so often I could shuffle them. Thank you for that gift, Terry Pratchett; you will be missed more than you can ever know. 2015-03-12 09:03 pm (UTC). I could have written those words myself, Sparky. I wonder for how many people that holds true? 2015-03-13 07:58 pm (UTC). 2015-03-13 08:33 am (UTC). 2015-03-13 07:59 pm (UTC).

A book club by any other name. November 4th, 2008. Nov 4th, 2008 at 5:21 PM. Author: J. A. Jance. On a beautiful sunny day in the Coronado National Monument, an elderly couple's car goes off the side of a mountain and into oblivion. The terrain is so rocky that a helicopter must be flown in to retrieve the bodies, and to make matters worse, a thunderstorm is looming on the horizon. Hours later and miles away, the subsiding rain reveals gruesome evidence: two trash bags containing human remains.

How does romanticizing the past affect us in the here and now? If you were to be transported to a different time period, which one would you choose? She just ...

A book club by any other name. Points to Ponder: Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World. Oct 27th, 2008 at 9:25 AM. I have to hope that others had an easier time finding this than I did. o.O Hehe. Next month - a more mainstream book, methinks. What contrasts do you see between the setting of "Confessions" and "Hardboiled Wonderland"? Does this book play on any fears of the future or fears regarding the speed of technological advancement you might have? 6 comments Leave a comment. I finished it in...
