http://kenkeyandfish.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Writing like eating and drinking and living. Sunday, 28 October 2007. Post Card From Ghana: Culture Shock. And yet, and yet. And let's not even talk about drink-driving or policemen who ask for 'something for the family'. The delicious food I have craved for so long is still. Delicious but, spicier than I imagined and, full of carbs! Haven't people heard of the Atkins Diet? Seriously, I'm going to have to hit the gym as soon as I get back to London. Links to this post. Thursday, 25 October 2007. Confiden...

I wouldn't call it 'writing' exactly…. DPchallenge – Little Big Dad. Can’t believe the DP Challenge is a mixture of poetry and formatting but I’ve actually written something for it. I don’t think I’ve ever written poetry in my adult life and to be fair I don’t think that this is a poem in the ‘good’ sense of the word but it was a cracking prompt that just had to be attempted…. Have a go yourself! Find out more here…. Dad started off BIG. Hands split at nail and knuckle,. And lifting us drowsy from the car.

Kenkey and Fish: March 2008
http://kenkeyandfish.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Writing like eating and drinking and living. Thursday, 20 March 2008. Open Letter to Barack Obama. I've been wanting to write to you for some time now, and well, you won't know how it is but, sometimes life gets in the way of a good blogging idea. So, where was I? Ah yes. Can you believe it? People have been asking me what I think of you - in the same way they asked me about Mandela, O.J, Oprah, Mugabe and Michael Jackson - as if I have some special insight into the temperature of your soul. So back to yo...

I wouldn't call it 'writing' exactly…. Writing—So Easy a Caveman Can Do It. Writing – so hard I can’t do it. Great blog from Kristen Lamb…. Kristen Lamb's Blog. Original image via Flickr Creative Commons courtesy of Sodanie Chea. We’re not even going to address the flood of bad books. Many writers rush to publish before they’re ready, don’t secure proper editing, etc. But I feel the issue is deeper and it reflects one of the many challenges authors face and always will. 2,075 more words. Kenkey and Fish: Words and meanings
http://kenkeyandfish.blogspot.com/2014/03/words-and-meanings.html
Writing like eating and drinking and living. Monday, 17 March 2014. Okay that might be an extreme and out of context analogy. But we should be asking whether the fear of being perceived as bossy is really what prevents women from asserting themselves. If that really is the case then why don't we also ban nursery rhymes that tell girls to be sugar and spice everything nice? If, as Beyonce says in the ad, this campaign is about leadership positions then shouldn't we be telling girls to emulate their bosses?

Kenkey and Fish: January 2008
http://kenkeyandfish.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Writing like eating and drinking and living. Saturday, 26 January 2008. It was a catchy crossover reggae tune that like so many of the old ones, reminds me of a particular time in the past and a particular friend. I'll bet Barrack Obama has been belting it out or at least some version of it, since his 55 percent win in South Carolina. And no doubt the pundits are going to be waxing again about what this says about African-Americans and the role of race in these elections. The Audacity of Hope. I think it...

Writing like eating and drinking and living. Sunday, 22 April 2007. Have you heard of this writer? No matter though because now you have. And boy does he have a tale to tell. He is a Nigerian Jesuit priest who has sold a short story collection for one million dollars. Yeah, baby. One million. You can download one of his stories, 'An Ex-Mas Feast' from the Net. It was published in the New Yorker. Just type his name into google. Prepare to be shocked and stunned. Links to this post. Monday, 16 April 2007.

Writing like eating and drinking and living. Saturday, 28 July 2007. Excuse me while I rant. Pathologically self-obsessed they never think to ask how you are doing. It's just an on-going me-fest for these folk. Well I've had it with the Permanently Aggrieved. 'Cos they suck. Big time. And to them I say: go get a life or find some place else to whinge.Rant over. Kenkey and Fish: May 2007
http://kenkeyandfish.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Writing like eating and drinking and living. Sunday, 27 May 2007. Call it tacky, empty, talentless, whatever. I don't care. I'm lovin' American Idol. Big time. Give me cheesy Cowell, Paula with the hair -. That's gotta be a weave right? Give me all of that. And more. See I noticed something today, as I was watchin' and ironin'. You know, the usual Sunday afternoon stuff. I half-watched this year's winner thinking, what's so special? Green Day take the stage. They sing 'Working Class hero' and the wor...
