Observations of a Mental Ninja: Who is the Mental Ninja?
http://mentalninja.blogspot.com/2007/12/who-is-mental-ninja.html
Sunday, December 2, 2007. Who is the Mental Ninja? My name is Rachel. I am a freshman Psychology major in college. I'm glad that you have found my blog and hope that you take the time to read it. I'm very observant. Combined with my love of Psychology and wanting to know how we think and why we behave certain ways causes me to analyze the world around me. I decided to share some of these observations with the world. I hope you come to wonder like I do! Comments are always appreciated.

Observations of a Mental Ninja: Androgyny
http://mentalninja.blogspot.com/2007/12/androgyny.html
Wednesday, December 12, 2007. None other than the androgynous musician! Apparently they knew him/her. Well to my surprise, HER name is Jessica. Jessica? I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. Yet, I know 2 girls who have chopped off their hair and dress in a masculine manner. One prefers to be seen as a guy, while the other just dresses that way because she likes to. Yet, I still see them as female because I can remember a time when they looked that way to the rest of the world. I have met a person like...

Tuesday, December 18, 2007. However, I will be going out and running errands today so perhaps I will have something interesting for you all later. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. None other than the androgynous musician! Apparently they knew him/her. Well to my surprise, HER name is Jessica. Jessica? I say that we propose a new title to address people, and abolish Mr and Ms and Mrs and Miss altogether. In this day and age it is becoming more and more common to see people who do not feel that they fit i...

The Conformist Rebel: February 2010
http://allierambles.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 26, 2010. The library I used to look for at Rutgers offered me 15 hours a week through June to finish a project I started when I worked there a while ago. Not wonderful hours, pay, or work, but its something, and will be a much needed supplement to my current (and more fun) librarian job. I had grand illusions that being a librarian would be "glamorous.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Good Excuse to Wear a Veil. Change with Every New Day. Save the righteous, save the world. The Conformist Rebel: May 2010
http://allierambles.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 24, 2010. The rector of a parish about 20 minutes from me called me out of the blue a few days ago to ask if I would consider becoming the Director of Children and. Youth Ministries at his church. It would be 15 hours a week, with acceptable pay and a continuing education allowance. I feel extremely conflicted about this. I have been applying for other jobs outside of library science, so that isn't my greatest concern. I'm meeting with the rector on Thursday, prayers are welcome. Sarah Laughe...

The Conformist Rebel: Limericks against Universal Higher Ed
http://allierambles.blogspot.com/2010/03/limericks-against-universal-higher-ed.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. Limericks against Universal Higher Ed. You know I've having a fed up/off day when I start writing limericks). It’s not that my expectations are high. That isn’t what I mean to imply. But with students in college. You expect some basic knowledge. And these kids, they don’t even try. Maybe a student or two. Have some inkling of the work they should do. But the rest of the time. I can feel the decline. Of the language I thought that I knew. Sometimes I just have to pray. Love the las...
