Where in the World is Tim? The Life and Times of Tim. Monday, May 26, 2008. Uluru and the Olga's. To the airport, bike in box for a quick flight over to see a big rock in the middle of nowhere sounded like a simple plan. Qantas had other ideas. Apparently their internet connection was down so the whole online booking system was very much offline and the hi-tech highlighter and pen check-off the boarding list was way to confusing for this small town. Camels - in the outback - no lies. Next tour operator w...

River Levels: Herbert Glen Eagle 1.22 Grade 3-4. Described as one of the classic Australian river trips, this one lived up to expectations. A spectacular mix of gorgeous scenery and heart-stopping whitewater, it was well worth the effort, and much effort was required, particularly getting onto and off the river! There were some...

We have all been invited to attend next year! Have a look at the website.

Where in the World is Tim? The Life and Times of Tim. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Snowy River Water Release. It started initially through some whispers on email, then a public government press announcement. The news? DVD After a week of studying maps, calculating gradients, watching old archive RCC 1949 footage, and phoning local contact - it was on. Years of lobbying by various groups including the Snowy River Alliance, finally convinced the governments to force a release. The river report follows but...

Where in the World is Tim? The Life and Times of Tim. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Its not often you time your weekend with a good solid flood, but we got this one spot on! Barrington was running at 3.5-3.7 for saturday, unfortunatley the rivers we wanted to paddle had noaccess (upper little manning and Pigna Barney) due to flooding bridges, and small land slips over the road. Friday, May 08, 2009. Easter Trip to the Nymboida River. 25 people, a high river, 5 days of paddling - can you ask for more? Camping a...

Where in the World is Tim? The Life and Times of Tim. Monday, April 28, 2008. AM nervous at the start and me posing for the wrong camera. Its not often you get to be part of something really inspirational. Now doing a 5km swim from Coogee to Bondi is a solid achievement! For AM infinitely more so. I had the super easy part - kayaking at 3km/h for an hour 45 and trying not to hit her on the head with my paddle too many times. Impressive stuff! Aaron doing the leg work! Where in the World is Tim? The Life and Times of Tim. Monday, October 13, 2008. Snow best of both worlds. A good way to spend 10 early spring days. Day 1: Head down to thredbo, catch the chair lift to the top of the mountain, ski over the back to the main range. Set up camp and then Ski to the summit of Australia's highest mountain -. In some spots the snow was a bit patchy. But spring brings out the best in people. Ski on some grass - a new sport perhaps? Lotsa snow and cornices. Day 6: Paddle the Cobun...

Where in the World is Tim? The Life and Times of Tim. Monday, November 23, 2009. 111km of fun, or the Hawkesbury Classic. We past some great scenery, but it was dark so we didn’t see it. Eventually, the end was in site, my bum was in agony, and my chest chaffing was on fire. Last stop at the low tide pit-stop for a quick pee, (I refused to use the powerade bottle that Steve had been using! I was forced to call my boss on Monday and explain to him that I would have to work from home because I couldn’...
