A celebration of life as it could be, if only. It's somewhat of an obvious title, but I'm finding. By Xavier Amador and Judith Kiersky, both PhDs) to be actually helpful. Lots of good information about how self-defeating patterns can prevent us from being happy whether we're in relationships or not. I've grown a lot from being single (and celibate! subjunctive collapse: growing up, if not entirely grown

http://subjunctivecollapse.blogspot.com/2011/07/growing-up-if-not-entirely-grown.html

A celebration of life as it could be, if only. Growing up, if not entirely grown. In a little more than a week, I'll be 38 years old. It will be the 22nd birthday I'll celebrate on my own, though only the 4th since getting sober (and the 2nd since Jack died); however, in some respects I feel as aimless as I did when I was 17 and had just moved to Chicago, setting out on my own and hoping for new adventures. On the outside, though the thought at once baffles and terrifies me. July 27, 2011 at 10:06 PM.

subjunctive collapse: water therapy

http://subjunctivecollapse.blogspot.com/2011/07/water-therapy.html

A celebration of life as it could be, if only. Last night I took the boys to our neighborhood pool for family swim. I'd been having one of those terrible, horrible, no-good kind of days, and I thought it would help me relax a little. And I was correct. This used to be a regular part of our family time together, and last night made me remember why. That water has magical powers, I think. We'll certainly be back next week for more of the same. subjunctive collapse: taking care of myself

http://subjunctivecollapse.blogspot.com/2011/07/taking-care-of-myself.html

A celebration of life as it could be, if only. Taking care of myself. I don't have the best history of being kind to myself, either physically or emotionally. Case in point: I stepped on a piece of glass at the Funky Buddha Lounge on my 34th birthday (drunk, of course) and chose to perform surgery on myself (in my bathtub) rather than go to any sort of medical professional. Luckily, that turned out okay and I still have both of my feet. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Giving myself a chance.
