Holes In My Jeans: Schooner Farm
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2015/07/schooner-farm.html
Holes In My Jeans. Saturday, July 25, 2015. A few years ago a friend brought her children here for a farm tour. They had so many questions which inspired me to write them a story. I found it today on my external hard drive and decided to share it with you. 8220;Mommy, how many days till Saturday? 8220;Tinley, you just asked me that yesterday. Here, look at the calendar.”. Saturday was highlighted in bright pink, my favorite color. Written on the calendar was Schooner Farm. Schooner Farm is so far away.

Holes In My Jeans: Locks of love from donkeys
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2015/05/locks-of-love-from-donkeys.html
Holes In My Jeans. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Locks of love from donkeys. It's too bad someone can't use donkey hair to make wigs for folks who need them. I've already brushed at least 3 times as much hair from them but they still have lots more to shed. Windsor wanted in on the action too but he's not ready to let go of his fluffy baby fur yet. It's a shame for all this hair to go to waste. I suppose someone could make it into yarn but I don't know how to do that, nor do I want to take the time to learn.

Holes In My Jeans: It's peachy how it turned out
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2015/07/its-peachy-how-it-turned-out.html
Holes In My Jeans. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. It's peachy how it turned out. This is our year for peaches, finally. James planted an orchard of apples, plums, peaches, pears, and cherries shortly after we bought our house. He thinks it was 2005. I'm terrible when it comes to remembering years. This tree is splayed from the weight of the peaches. The peach tree in the 10 year old orchard finally produced but the peaches aren't quite as pretty as the ones grown from the pits James started. Holes In My Jeans: March 2015
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Holes In My Jeans. Friday, March 27, 2015. Our numbers are increasing quickly. They're very different looking so it's easy to tell them apart. I should give Cooper a little credit for these babies too since he's the daddy. Anyone need a bottle baby? I can easily put one or 2 on a bottle and send them home with you. They're cheaper if I don't have to raise them. Friday, March 27, 2015. Links to this post. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. What could be sweeter than new piglets and spring? These are some sturdy pig...

Holes In My Jeans: What I did for love
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2015/06/what-i-did-for-love.html
Holes In My Jeans. Sunday, June 28, 2015. What I did for love. Today I did something I do all the time but hadn't even considered doing before I was married. This is just one of many things. You might wonder what this is, yes? It's ziploc bags hanging on the line to dry. I made wine this week from fruit that needed to be used. It had been in the freezer too long and we needed room for this year's fruit. What was I to do with the bags after I'd emptied them? Sunday, June 28, 2015. Holes In My Jeans. We'd ...

Holes In My Jeans: September 2014
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Holes In My Jeans. Friday, September 26, 2014. I love animals' noses. I'm especially fond of giant, wet cow noses. Most of our animals have hooves but they call them toes so I do too. Because I took pictures of the cows noses and toes, the rest of the animals begged to have theirs taken too so I obliged. Donkey noses are especially kissable. My favorite farm animal's nose and toes. Baxter wanted to change his clothes for every picture I took of him. Friday, September 26, 2014. Links to this post. Today I...

Holes In My Jeans: October 2014
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Holes In My Jeans. Friday, October 31, 2014. Now that Willy is older she's much more uncooperative. She ran off with her costume in her mouth and that was that, so I'm posting a picture I took of her about a month ago when she was a sweet, well-behaved kitten who allowed me to abuse her. Willo and Jaz loved the attention and let me try on everything I had in my bags. Piggy back ride, anyone? Darla wanted to play that game too. And he knows it. We went to a party tonight and not too many people knew what ...

Holes In My Jeans: June 2015
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Holes In My Jeans. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The video below shows the mom all fluffed up with her wings spread. I don't know if that's her posturing to keep other chickens away or a place for the chicks to come hide when they need to. I'm assuming the rooster with her is her partner. It appears they're talking. "Oh, aren't we so lucky? I kind of like that it was a surprise and I wasn't watching and waiting. I hope these 4 survive and are all hens. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Holes In My Jeans: November 2014
http://holesinmyjeans-kpannabecker.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Holes In My Jeans. Friday, November 28, 2014. Boy, was I wrong. This morning I emailed a friend, "not much excitement here". As it turned out, I was very wrong. My black Friday turned out to be very exciting. When I went out to feed everyone I discovered Black Olive (my large black sow) gave me a nice surprise, better than anything I could fight the crowds for at a department store; two tiny piglets, a boy and a girl. This is 9 pigs. One is out grazing. They could probably fit a few more in. Keri had bee...
