Even in college, while I skipped the haircut and shoe shopping, I still loved shopping for the perfect notebooks, and I have clear memories of standing in line for hours outside the university bookstore, reconnecting with old friends who had been away for the summer, planning on whether we should try out our new fake IDs in town or just hit the Tau Kappa Epsilon kegger.
