In August 2013, I took my first steps outside of the United States. Well, it was more like a big jump: I was very fortunate in being chosen for a Fulbright grant, and I spent the 2013-2014 academic year at Aalto University in Finland, doing mathematics research under the guidance of Alexander Engström. As of today (in summer 2014), I am a fifth-year graduate student at the University of Kentucky, where I earned my Master’s degree in 2012. My research interests include Ehrhart theory.
