Monday, October 3, 2016. G is going to the priesthood preview this Sunday and was asked to give the opening prayer. I don't know yet if he's planing to voice or sign. I'm so grateful for the chance to go through this with him and help him develop strategies for how to do better next time. He was so embarrassed about his low score, and that's a growth moment. Sunday, December 4, 2016. G is on a 3 person team at school for the Battle of the Books. They read 3 books then answer trivia about those books. On Thursday they competed with 3 other deaf schools. He's all about the stats. Their team won 2 rounds and tied the 3rd. He told me the tie will become a win because the team they tied, lost to a team they beat. Posted by Lucky Day. Friday, December 23, 2016. This holiday season has been great. I say this right before we celebrate G's birthday tomorrow and Christmas the next day. Our homeschool group didn't meet this month and we had less obligations so we had more time to celebrate our own traditions. We got up the 25 days clip board and filled the slots with exciting things like going to the carousel, and the car wash! This picture says it all. See those lights? He's got double ear infections. Friday, January 6, 2017. Our house is covered in books. I wanted to get the kids involved in organizing the books and get certain collections together. Now it's crazy. I told them I'd let them have chicken tenders for dinner if they did the job, then they pooped out. And I really wanted fajitas for dinner, but that left us with double dinner. Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Things I don't need. I had a shelf in the garage but P doesn't like to put holes in the house, go figure! So I needed a narrow table to mount a shelf to. I was interested in getting a baking rack but am not actually motivated to buy something that is not exactly what I want there. So we went to many thrift stores and didn't find a narrow table.
