'In' Christ: theologia
http://theologia.livejournal.com/134237.html
What does it mean, to be 'in' Christ? Is Christ part of who we are when we are 'in' Christ? Is there a union of personalities, sort of patterned on the union of personalities in the Trinity? Are we part-God (as children of God)? Is God a united part of the whole of who we become? Do we share awareness and consciousness (for example, in contemplation)? What does it mean, to be 'in' Christ? Post a new comment. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. We will log you in after post. Post a new comment.

And I want to talk about it. Makes anyone quit reading. That's what this post is about. I have an amazing girlfriend and I'm over my head in love with her. Just like I'm in love with Jesus. Ok, well, I am. Think about how many 'sins' the bible lists. There are some that churches completely overlook because they don't ...

Christianity Community

A few brief post election thoughts. Nov 8th, 2012 at 9:54 AM. In the end, the President was reelected. I was immediately filled with fear. I started thinking about the millions of babies who will die in the next four years. I thought about the Health and Human Services Mandate which may attempt to force churches to pay for some of those murders. I thought about how the church will navigate this mine-field and concluded that I have no idea. I fell into despair. Current affairs and events. End of the world.

I was active in this community ages ago, stopped using LJ when I was in Bolivia and am now trying to get back into LJ again. I was reading those old posts from 2005-2007ish yesterday and would love to know how everyone from back then is doing (and even those who didn't post back then! Who joined a religious community? Who learned that marriage is actually their vocation? Who learned that religious life is their vocation but is still searching for a community that fits them? Post a new comment.

I am, as you know, celibate and I believe, as do most Christians, - Elder and Oak. I am, as you know, celibate and I believe, as do most Christians, that the human body is sacred, and that to dishonour it dishonours God. However, I do not believe that merely having sex outside marriage or with one's own gender automatically dishonours either the body or God. I once had powerful objections to homosexual relationships, all of which fell away when God gently pointed out that He didn't share my prejudices.

Safe spaces and the chance to be heard - Religious Feminists-- the soul has no sex

Safe spaces and the chance to be heard - Religious Feminists- the soul has no sex. October 14th, 2012. Safe spaces and the chance to be heard. When you live outside a different faith group, it is too easy to find oneself influenced by the media, by news editors, complaining (for example) about the negative effects of Islam on women. And the 'noise' is such, that actual voices expressing their own authentic experience, are easily drowned out and a narrative starts to be written by other people.

Women of the Wall - Religious Feminists-- the soul has no sex

Women of the Wall - Religious Feminists- the soul has no sex. July 13th, 2010. Women of the Wall. There is a group in Israel called " Women of the Wall. That organizes a woman's prayer group that meets at the Kotel (the Western Wall). In Jerusalem each month for Rosh Chodesh. They've been doing this for over 20 years. Rosh Chodesh is traditionally a woman's holiday. Apparently, this view that violent lawbreakers. Should be punished instead of their victims. Is too simplistic for the Israeli Supreme Court.
