Although Maggie and I cannot take holidays abroad anymore unless we are fortunate enough to be able to go on another cruise we do consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to take seven holidays together in Italy. Per prima cosa mi facevano male le giunture; d'accordo che ho una certa età, che in autunno quando aumenta l'umido mi si blocca una spalla, ma non sono così conciato male da sviluppare dolori articolari nell'arco di pochi minuti. Giovedì 13 agosto 2015. Il castello di Avio è facilmente raggiungibile dall'uscita Ala -Avio; bisogna solo salire e seguire i cartelli. E' gestito dal FAI; la visita è libera e si snoda lungo un percorso, per la maggior parte, libero. Bisogna pagare un piccolo sovrapprezzo per poter fare foto all'interno, ma ne vale decisamente la pena. Ci sono anche del sentieri nei pressi che conducono in altri posti, che non ho avuto tempo di percorrere, ma che, sicuramente, meritano. Etichette: gita fuori porta.

Mercoledì 31 dicembre 2014. Da domani finisce un anno e ne inizia un altro e, come accade sovente, anno nuovo "vita vecchia". Non che mi dispiaccia, a parte alcuni miglioramenti sparsi qui e là, la mia solita esistenza, sinché dura, non mi dispiace per niente. Per l'anno nuovo vorrei un po' più di monotonia sul fronte salute; la mia è sempre la solita, ma il 2014 ha regalato, nel suo compiersi, una serie di "cose" delle quali si poteva fare a meno.
