The majority of these cards were contributed by Michael Gallagher. And are from his personal collection which were originally featured on his now closed Swalwell Village website. Some of these images are also re-coloured photographs by person(s) unknown. Of these cards were printed around the turn of the last century, by a local printer, A. A. It is nearly 20 years since I have lived in Swalwell, so i'm not in the best position to update and comment on Swalwell anymore.
