My time in Sweden in so many words (by @jennyjenjen)
Hello from London | A Year in Sweden
https://swedishfish.wordpress.com/2007/03/26/hello-from-london
Posted by @jennyjenjen in Language. Although I don’t have a lot of time right now, I just wanted to post quickly about London. I am currently sitting at a computer in a somewhat shady hostel in Piccadilly, charging my iPod (it’s worth it! And getting my fill of news and information before I set off for another few days without Internet. I haven’t gone much further than Piccadilly and Soho for the moment, but we’re taking a London tour tomorrow (I should get some sleep soon! London South Bank University.

A Tribute to Magoo, 1999-2007. Posted by @jennyjenjen in Family. Just two weeks ago, I had been getting ready for a big night at my nation. It was the last club night and I was working in the kitchen, and later we would hit the dance floor and party like fools. It turned out to be a great time with my friends and a great end to the school year. The next day was a little painful (bright sun, quite the headache! He showed all the signs. After talking to the breeder, we decided to find a place where we coul...
On my return to Greeley | A Year in Sweden
https://swedishfish.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/return-to-greeley
On my return to Greeley. Posted by @jennyjenjen in American Holidays. Home vs. Sweden. Well, I’m back. Back to Greeley and trying to get back into the swing of things after leaving Sweden. Anyhow, we had lunch at one of Denver’s best Vietnamese spots, New Saigon, and picked up some Asian foods from the market nearby. It was nice to return and do something like that. We finished up the day with a little shopping and a visit to grandpa in the nursing home. Honestly, the biggest change for me is that my dog...

https://swedishfish.wordpress.com/2007/06/07/nu-ar-det-sommar
Nu är det sommar. Posted by @jennyjenjen in Outdoors. It’s definitely summer in Sweden. In mid-May, we were hoping that summer had finally arrived. Unfortunately, it hadn’t; there was nearly a week of rain and wind and the sun seemed to be teasing us. But as soon as June arrived, so did summer. 1 loseby93 - 2007 June 9. Enjoy your last days in Sweden and really hope I get to see you/meet you when you are in CO. And hope your computer is easily fixable by your dad! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are comm...

I’m wanting to study abroad. Why do you think Sweden is a good choice? Ah, lovely question. Sweden is a great choice for many reasons. Travel is another reason. Sure, Sweden isn’t in the middle of Europe. But it’s not difficult anymore to fly around Europe for good prices, and in some cases it’s cheaper than taking trains! Also, if you’re really into nature and clean air, Sweden’s a great place. Where the heck is Uppsala? I’m studying in Sweden! Help me out with…. I’m still under construction! Unpublishe...

The Wandering Swede: November 2006
http://thewanderingswede.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 24, 2006. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at home! Be thankful for your mother's turkey, because you don't know what you've lost until it is gone. I learned that the hard way this year when I had the same old thing for dinner on Thursday. Night I did however feel pretty good about myself because I at least knew that Thursday. Was my favorite holiday. Jim was quite distraught when he realized he'd missed it. And speaking of Tuesdays, the next three are going to prove quite. Last night I at...

The Wandering Swede: April 2007
http://thewanderingswede.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 01, 2007. Easter break is coming up this week and we have been blessed with beautiful weather here in Uppsala. We had temperatures in the upper sixties which meant we headed for the roof of our building with the BBQ and football. Duncan, Jim, and I even threw on our shorts and flip flops. A lot has been happening in the last month. I've been bar tending. But there is no final exam, just a paper! So I guess that means I've taken my last test here! Busy night at the bar! More to come soon.

The Wandering Swede: January 2007
http://thewanderingswede.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 29, 2007. I'm back in Sverige. And we have SNOW! I had about 3 hours of dry pavement and ungraveled. Streets, then BAM. It now snows every couple of days so at least it is always white and beautiful. My bike is still locked up at the train station downtown because it is under a foot and a half of snow and I'm pretty sure the lock is frozen solid. So I've been doing a lot of walking. This term begins with a class on political theory, which to be honest I find very intriguing! And Stockholm...

I had no idea that this was the setup until one of my friends let me know. I'm currently writing a paper for my general Swedish class about "systembolaget" the government owned liquor monopoly here in Sweden. All wine, spirits, and beer over 3.5% alcohol value must be purchased at these stores. Very interesting stuff. Posted by Karl at 2:09 PM.
