What I learnt on my first of many cake decorating explorations over the coming weeks:. Naked spiced banana cake. 1 – I suck at cutting layers. My solution: stacking books beside the cake to the desired height of the layer. I’ll then run my knife along the top of the books as a guide to create an even cut. A perfect little slice.
