http://farmhousetraditions.blogspot.com/2014/10/getting-to-heart-of-wedding-craft.html
Sweet vintage home sewn. Monday, 6 October 2014. Getting to the heart of wedding craft! I really need to thank you all so very much for taking the time to leave such kind and thoughtful messages on my last post about the loss of our lovely dog Kate- your kindness is truly appreciated-thank you. I have begun to crack on with the wedding crafts with a vengeance-less than three weeks to go now! At last I could put to use some of that gorgeous vintage lace I have and seek out more Paris themed fabrics! I use...

Farmhouse Traditions: August 2016
http://farmhousetraditions.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
Sweet vintage home sewn. Saturday, 20 August 2016. It's a lovely summer again with lots of visits this year from family. I love to make a little keepsake gift for my adorable niece and nephew and this year decided to make them a patchwork cushion to take home. Now for me, making anything for a boy is quite a challenge-I just have never had the practice and can't say my interest runs to football and the like! However, there is one theme that I do enjoy and it is so linked to Cornwall.pirates! After much r...

Last minute gifts | pumpkin and tap
https://pumpkinandtap.wordpress.com/2016/03/14/last-minute-gifts
My mom’s birthday was last week. I had chosen some nice toiletries for her and was crocheting a face cloth to go with them. I showed you the start of it in a previous post. Then at the last minute, well two days to go, thought a small storage box to put them all in would be nice. I pulled fabric, made a pattern and was feeling quite satisfied that it could be done without buying more fabric. But… Could I find any firm interfacing? This week I held onto my pennies. Which way do you do it? I did machine th...

Thank goodness its Friday… | pumpkin and tap
https://pumpkinandtap.wordpress.com/2015/10/16/thank-goodness-its-friday
Thank goodness its Friday…. Its been a busy week with lots of running round, so not a lot of sewing has happened. I have joined the Finish Along being hosted by Adrianne of On the Windy Side. And you can see my list in the previous post. So I plan on working on something later today. I did however finish the pencil roll that Sweetpea needed for last Saturday in plenty of time, just not enough time to post about it. I did manage to get photos. So you are warned, lots of pretty pictures to follow. In from ...

Under the weather… | pumpkin and tap
https://pumpkinandtap.wordpress.com/2016/02/03/under-the-weather
Under the weather…. Saying this, I did finish all the first set of blocks for my checkerboard quilt top. Then cut them into strips, to my son’s amazement. He was at home with a high temperature fluey thing. He doesn’t understand cutting fabric and sewing it together in attractive combinations, then cutting it up again. Putting it like this, it does sound a bit nuts. I then laid out all my strips and worked out my blocks. This is the first of the five I did last week. 8230; ». February 3, 2016 at 7:00 pm.

Sweet vintage home sewn. Monday, 27 April 2015. Said the mole in the Wind in the Willows), after working very hard all morning cleaning his little home. This line always comes to me whenever I attempt a bit of Spring cleaning, because my cleaning efforts never last very long.just like mole I'm ready to throw down the duster and brush and bolt out into the sunshine, without even putting on my coat! Cornwall's bright gorse calls me away to bright coastal walks. There are no 'before' pics! Really should sta...

Ladybird Diaries: A little pink dress
http://ladybirddiaries.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-little-pink-dress.html
A crafty, yarny blog. Tuesday, 11 August 2015. A little pink dress. I finished the little baby dress I started last week. I absolutely loved making this and I really didn't want to put it down whenever I started working on it! The pattern is from Cute and Easy Crocheted Baby Clothes by Nicki Trench. I adore this book, the patterns are so pretty and there is a good variety of items for boys and girls. I really recommend it if you have wee ones to make things for. 11 August 2015 at 16:07. This is so sweet!
