Sweet Tea and Sunshine: Thursday Thirteen: Food resolutions for 2009
http://sweetteasunshine.blogspot.com/2009/01/thursday-thirteen-resolutions-for-2009.html
Sweet Tea and Sunshine. Inspiration: found, shared, appreciated. On my bedside table. On my kitchen shelf. Thursday, January 1, 2009. Thursday Thirteen: Food resolutions for 2009. But I will not be deterred. MY Thursday Thirteen still stands, and when they get their act together I'll do the appropriate linking. So, I thought I'd share some of what I'm hoping to do in the food/nutrition/health arena in 2009. Some are ambitious, others not so. Mix it up, I say. Be experimental in the kitchen. Those were hi...

Sweet Tea and Sunshine. Inspiration: found, shared, appreciated. On my bedside table. On my kitchen shelf. Friday, April 25, 2014. Friday night grateful moment: Happy. I have a confession. I had not heard the song "Happy" until tonight. I know, how insane is that? It's only been everywhere, all over the place, for ages. Good thoughts, all. Wishing you the same. April 26, 2014 at 9:12 AM. And then you come up with this delightful little video. Enormously delightful! April 26, 2014 at 9:28 AM. Further to t...
Sweet Tea and Sunshine: Update on Thursday 13 New Year's Edition 2008

Sweet Tea and Sunshine. Inspiration: found, shared, appreciated. On my bedside table. On my kitchen shelf. Thursday, December 31, 2009. Update on Thursday 13 New Year's Edition 2008. Here's what I said I'd do last year on New Year's Eve, mostly relative to cooking and blogging. How did I do? About food, but get healthier along the way. Gradual steps toward whole foods, less processed, for the whole family. Check. Some weeks have been a little light, but I'm still here! Be experimental in the kitchen.

Sweet Tea and Sunshine. Inspiration: found, shared, appreciated. On my bedside table. On my kitchen shelf. Friday, May 15, 2015. Friday night grateful moment. So perhaps my little moment of "I'm back" (see NYE post) was a little premature. You think? This has been a rough few months (year? I'm grateful for my health, for sure, and don't take it for granted. I'm grateful for another day to hug my husband and child and assure them of my love. And now for a couple of random pics I found on my phone. I a...

The Gift: March 2011
http://burstoffruitflavor.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Thursday, March 17, 2011. Being open to the world. There are times when while going about my daily life I encounter someone really nasty. I'm not sure if they're nasty because they have issues going on at home or work that has nothing to do with me or because they just don't like me for some reason (and of course I always think it's the second one). Maybe I should draw back and only surround myself with the few people I really trust and know well?

Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Saturday, October 15, 2011. Can we get to Bieber? Here is a great post my friend Kate. Wrote about her efforts to show a little girl who has endured a kind of heart break and sadness that no little girl should have to endure that good things can happen even in the midst of tragedy. Here's Kate with instructions on how we can do that:. But lately I've been thinking a lot about JB. An Inch of Gray,. Do that now, then come back. I'm going to be very hones...

Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Friday, June 3, 2011. Hello 40.I'm ready for you! So tomorrow I'm turning 40. No big parties. No extravagant trip. Just dinner with my family and a friend. And a few outings with my girl friends here and there. Which is so lovely. I started with the hope of just getting back to my "regular" weight which was about 8 pounds less. But something changed when I started the journey. The more I got into it, the more I cared about my health and my body...Don't...

Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Titled "our friend Anna's son.". I couldn't have imagined the tragedy that would be revealed inside. I opened it. Read it. And then read it again and again as my heart sank and my breath held. How could that happen? Even the idea of it is terrifying let alone the reality. I went to her blog. To see if there was any information about how we in the blog community could help and I saw that her last post was about the kids first...

The Gift: Forever and ever
http://burstoffruitflavor.blogspot.com/2011/10/forever-and-ever.html
Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Friday, October 14, 2011. Last night, after I read my six-year-old son his bedtime story and tucked him into his bed, he said in a whisper, "mommy, is it better to be alive or dead? I didn't know how to respond. None of us will live forever my love, I wanted to say but instead I kissed his head and said "no matter where you are, mommy will always be with you, forever and ever." He turned around and looked at me and said, "even in heaven? An Inch of Gray.

http://burstoffruitflavor.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Saturday, November 12, 2011. I cried myself to sleep last night. Not because of anything that has happened to me or my family but because of something horrible that has happened to young kids by a monster and covered up by other monsters. It's really scared me about people in general. How people that you would expect to act like decent human beings, end up acting like cowards. How am I going to trust anyone with my two children? Who can we trust? I'm a...

Everday Day Deserves A Little Burst of Fruit Flavor. Friday, December 16, 2011. The Wonder of a Tree. Our Christmas tree makes me happy. I don't know what it is about it exactly that I like so much, the look of it or the idea of it, but it just makes things a little merrier in the house. Maybe it's the simple idea of bring a little of the magic of the outdoors inside. There is a TREE inside my house. That in of itself is weird and wonderful. How fun is that? Sweet Tea Sunday
Musings from a mom and vet. Thursday, May 14, 2015. We took a little family vacation to Chattanooga the end of April. The day before we left I dropped Phoebe off at the my work to board and Ian requested I take a picture of the two of them. He sure does love his Phoebe cat, and she kinda likes him, too. Poor Ian, he was really upset after I dropped her off. Our first destination was Lookout Mountain, specifically the Incline Railway. We started at the top and rode down. However, it did have a great view.
