Life truly can be hellish at times. Doubtless there are more eloquent ways of saying this. However, sometimes the plain and simple ones do a better job. I didn't always know what to say in the moment. There were other kids who I didn't know well enough to reach out to them when I overheard what they were going through. That doesn...

The Prosers: August 2015
http://theprosers.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 24, 2015. Documenting the writing life. I write short fiction as well as novels. To be perfectly frank, I've written many more short stories than novels. Possibly even more words in short stories than in novels. Duotrope. Is very similar to Query Tracker, only focused on short stories. Duotrope has wonderful statistics on all the short story markets I've come across so far. It also provides a calendar with upcoming themed and unthemed deadlines of magazine submissions. Sometimes I think wi...

Melanie's Stories: November 2014
http://melaniecrousesblog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Books Read in 2015. Friday, November 21, 2014. Work In Progress - Melanie. My friend Irene is doing Nanowrimo this year. We smiled nostalgically as I regaled her with stories about all the times I've used a shovel to kill someone, and how fun it is to try to make the murder so natural that no one says "Ah! The Travelling Shovel of Death." Talk about pulling people out of the story, right? As we spoke, people regarded us with wide, wide eyes, and stayed as far away as possible. Good times. http://markkoopmans.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Socialmediabuttons {text-align: center; margin: 0 auto; display:block;} -. Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Oh my dear blog! A non IWSG-sanctioned post :). My blog is dying. And yet, I'm looking on, detached and only a little worried. I'm sad because I've put three years of work into this here thang, but I think I'm okay if I never write another post again. I'll always be a writer - just not sure if I'm always going to be a blogger. Have you ever lost the hunger to post? How did you combat/fix the problem?
