Armizare & Co.: New Year
http://bunkaijuju.blogspot.com/2013/01/new-year.html
The musings and tribulations of a medieval enthusiast. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Happy New Year everyone! After having not really updated this blog since September that is going to be one of my focuses this new year - to be better at this blogging thing. It might not always be insightful because of grad school (starting this summer and going straight through to next summer) but hopefully it will at least keep me thinking about WMA. My WMA related goals for 2013:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Armizare & Co.: August 2012
http://bunkaijuju.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
The musings and tribulations of a medieval enthusiast. Saturday, August 4, 2012. Wednesday, August 1, 2012. One Mind, Any Weapon. The thing I love about the mindset of "One Mind, Any Weapon" is that is applies to anything and everything. Think of all the ads you've seen for DVDs or books that will teach you to use improvised weapons - magazines, pens, books, backpacks, etc. All of that is covered in "One Mind, Any Weapon". Armizare & Co.: March 2012
http://bunkaijuju.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
The musings and tribulations of a medieval enthusiast. Friday, March 30, 2012. Hammer play in recent games. I love to play role-playing video games. As a medievalist and WMA practitioner, this has to be carefully done lest my head 'spode from all the fantasy armour and weapons. Let's not even get into the fighting styles (that much spinning around would make me dizzy as hell). However, I've been playing Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. And Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning. Here are the hammers from Reckoning:. In the...

Armizare & Co.: February 2014
http://bunkaijuju.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The musings and tribulations of a medieval enthusiast. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. It's like an episode of "The Walking Dead" - I'm back! Thing is I am in the middle of graduate school - getting my Master of Art in Teaching and it is swallowing all of my time. But that doesn't mean I am ignoring HEMA and Armizare. It just means that I am not being as active as I used to be. Today, however, I decided to post about something that is a question that has been buzzing around in my brain for some time now.

Armizare & Co.: April 2012
http://bunkaijuju.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
The musings and tribulations of a medieval enthusiast. Monday, April 23, 2012. Poleaxe based on Talhoffer take-apart axe. Poleaxe from a smith in the Neatherlands. A really pretty interpretation - personally I'd prefer the top of the haft to be more like the one in Talhoffer, that is, a narrowed metal cap which the head fits onto rather than the screw present on this one, but it's still a really, really nice interpretation. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. A re-examination of Le Jeu de la Hache. It will be dif...
