Picton: Up the Junction
http://picton-loopline.blogspot.com/2014/07/up-junction.html
Sunday, July 6, 2014. Since the last post, I've been busy building points for the bottom deck and I've just finished 27 of the suckers for the storage yards. Which means I can start to lay the track for the yard but it also creates another dilemma. What to use for a turntable? I'm going to install a 90ft turntable so I can turn anything up to a 57 class so do I go for something prototypical like the Anton's Trains. Example and install DCC for it or use a Walthers. July 7, 2014 at 4:00 PM. The train shed,...

NSWGR Trikes: Not all went to plan but the result is a great one
http://nswgrtrikes.blogspot.com/2013/12/not-all-went-to-plan-but-result-is.html
Preservation and Restoration of Railway Track Vehicles. Sunday, December 8, 2013. Not all went to plan but the result is a great one. The gearbox was another easy job of refitting taking very little effort. A bit of silicone sealant and it bolted straight on and it doesn't leak oil. On the 27th October 2013 the last bolts went in and the attachment of the identification plate on the front. This too didn't go to plan, despite using quality rivets they broke before pulling tight. Splitters Swamp Creek: More trees for Splitters
http://superfreighter.blogspot.com/2017/01/more-trees-for-splitters.html
Home of the Eternal Beginner and Splitters Swamp Creek, my first Show Layout. NSW HO modelling Steam Era pre 1960. Sunday, January 15, 2017. More trees for Splitters. For a while now I've had a few trees half finished above the workbench. In the spirit of the New Year I thought it worth finishing them up. I also had a modelling night to attend a week ago, and the trees are something I can work on without much fuss whilst talking to the rest of the people that attended. As always I welcome your thoughts,.

Wellthere is always the converse situation and the service goes "above and beyond" and to balance things up I will post the experience here. NSWGR Southern Line Layout In A Shed. A NSW HO Branch Layout Takes Shape. Tuesday, 3 July 2012. Timber Paling Fences.Or How To Go Nuts. Well today was the day to get moving on another piece of invaluable infrastructure for the layout. To create a presentable and believable hardwood paling fence has been a "holy grail" of mine for years. The posts ...

NSWGR Southern Line Layout In A Shed: February 2015
http://southernline.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
NSWGR Southern Line Layout In A Shed. A NSW HO Branch Layout Takes Shape. Sunday, 22 February 2015. Now that I am forging ahead with the layout, the ability to programme locomotives has again become a necessity and as alluded to in the first paragraph of this post, I needed a more convenient method that allows the programming to be carried out quite separately and untethered to the NCE system and train room. Existing Layout Computer with NCE power supply and command station tucked away at left. As much a...

http://nswgrtrikes.blogspot.com/2014/03/what-vw-has-been-up-to.html
Preservation and Restoration of Railway Track Vehicles. Sunday, March 9, 2014. What the VW has been up to. While waiting for a green light to run trikes again the VW has been to a couple of displays to promote the Goulburn Crookwell Heritage Railway. It's first outing was the Wagga model railway show in November last year. The mods must have worked because I use less fuel and maintained a higher average speed that just taking the VW alone.
