Top 13 reasons you know that Tahsis is a really really really small town. By Alice, Jim and Catherine. You don't go into a local store to shop, unless you have an extra 1/2 hour to chat as well. No-one uses the turn signal on their car, because everyone knows where you are going anyway. The whole town takes up less than 2 pages in the phone book. Must be conducted on foot, because everyone knows your car. When someone says See you in a minute, they mean it. The New Year's Baby doesn't show up till April.

Has been an avid salt-water fisherman since he was 10 years old. Jim has been guiding professionally since 1992, when he worked the waters around Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. Jim has also guided in Northern BC/Alaska waters, and now resides in Salmon and Halibut heaven, otherwise known as Tahsis, on the west coast of Vancouver Island. In 1993 and 1994 Jim worked on special teaching charters with the legendary Ted Peck. Jim appeared on the TV show Gary Cooper's Fishing Diary.
