8230;it's a beautiful world out there. A talking bird, a giant bunny, and recovering gardens. June 3, 2015. Bull; 48 Comments. Eighteen months ago my back garden was an utter dust bath! What a difference 18 months and a lot of hard work has made! I must say I’m thrilled to see how it’s developing. Now that I’ve FINALLY removed all of the horrible hedging in the front garden, alongside of the railings, I feel the same as I did when the back was destroyed….another HUGE challenge! To the left of the courtya...

Crafty Cat Knitty Bits: August 2014
http://craftycatknitsbits.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Ramblings about knitting and creating and making. Thursday, 7 August 2014. The joys of working outside.and kittens! This summer has been so nice! To be able to work outside in all the natural light has just been fabulous. I'm afraid my 'workshop' doesn't look very glamourous, just my bead box, tools and a table, but it does me just fine. I had lots of cat company, from Indiana on my left. Who took time to catch up with some grooming, to keep herself looking tip top! Chloe foster cat was on my right.

But it was full of little happy moments! I felted the project bag which is already in use on the coffee table, twice at 40 degrees produced a nice felt. I made my sister a heart wreath as she started coveting mine and this is her photo of it proudly displayed in her kitchen. Close up so you can see the cheaty pins! We have also been d...

Ramblings about knitting and creating and making. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Venture into dyeing yarn. I used to tie dye t shirts in my teens and I do wonder why it has taken me so long to try my hand at dyeing yarn. It's like a crazy chemistry lesson that you eventually get to knit with.heavenly! I started out with some Falkland double knit that I broke down into mini skeins so I could try out lots of different techniques. Mojo was supervising before all cats were evicted once the dyes came out.

The crow and I, and other birds – Gardens & Wildlife
http://www.gardensandwildlife.com/2015/06/10/the-crow-and-i-and-other-birds
8230;it's a beautiful world out there. The crow and I, and other birds. June 10, 2015. Bull; 52 Comments. Last Friday I noticed a juvenile crow in the garden. It was lying on the log pile right next to Curly cat’s shed. Now, when I’m in wildlife, I’m constantly advising people on the phone to leave fledglings alone and to keep an eye out for the parents. So this was a case of taking my own medicine! Returning the second time was most rewarding, now the bird was standing, a little wobbly, but standing, so...

8230;it's a beautiful world out there. A road trip, by hubs, aka, John. June 30, 2015. Bull; 44 Comments. It may be a universal truth, that the packing time for women is proportional to the length of time away, for men, it’s a constant. Bags had been being packed for days but on returning from the gym, I had the standard 15 minutes to throw what I might need into the last case available, its small size helped in meeting the time challenge. Case would be mine. It was then we decided we needed more Deliver...

8230;it's a beautiful world out there. Too many tomatoes, bull breed awareness and more youngsters. June 17, 2015. Bull; 46 Comments. Each year the turn-out is bigger and more and more bull breed dogs are signed up for neutering and micro-chipping! And, strangely enough we’re making more money each year too, with our little stalls and what not….I, of course, was face painting……and was SO busy I didn’t even have time to take a pic of any of my little angels! Tomatoes are spilling out everywhere! I’m...
