A look at life through my viewfinder: August 2011
http://alookatlifethroughmyviewfinder.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Early in the morning I'd like to rise and spend a little time in quiet, creeping through the shutters falling on my wife, the sun is calling me to shine. Early in the morning, time still flies. Minutes, hours, lost as treasures. My tiny baby's breathing deeper every day, soon she'll leave her crib forever." (Early in the Morning by Andrew Osenga). Not am I night owl or morning dove. That is easy. I am completely 100% a night owl. What I mean is. In the song that I quoted. T...

A look at life through my viewfinder: God's Promises and Reminders!!! (Genesis 9)
http://alookatlifethroughmyviewfinder.blogspot.com/2012/06/gods-promises-and-reminders-genesis-9.html
Thursday, June 7, 2012. God's Promises and Reminders! My wife was tucking the girls in for bedtime. Naturally I ran into their room and told them to come downstairs and look at the promise of God. I took a few moments to remind that a rainbow is a promise from God. Then I was reading the portion of scripture that talks about rainbows. It is found in Genesis 9:8-17. Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:. 8220;I now establish my covenant with you. And with your descendants after you. I have estab...

A look at life through my viewfinder: In a New York State of Mind
http://alookatlifethroughmyviewfinder.blogspot.com/2014/04/in-new-york-state-of-mind.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2014. In a New York State of Mind. The picture above I took while riding the Staten Island Ferry. This past Sunday I was able to take a spare of the moment trip to the city I love. New York! In my mind there isn't a better city. The real reason why I jumped at the chance to go to NYC is that my best friend (20 years) mentioned that he was going to be in the city for a business trip. After some thought I wanted to go hang out with my bro and check out the city that I love. God am I fo...

A look at life through my viewfinder: "When the Bombs Break Right Outside My Door..."
http://alookatlifethroughmyviewfinder.blogspot.com/2014/04/when-bombs-break-right-outside-my-door.html
Wednesday, April 16, 2014. When the Bombs Break Right Outside My Door.". Once again, I find myself in place where I realize that I must rely/count on God. I consider myself a person who has a pretty strong faith in God. I am defiantly an optimist in that I believe that God ALWAYS. Has my best interest in mind. There are times that this belief/certainty is strained however. It is never because of anything that God does or doesn't do. He is always the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I am currently loo...

A look at life through my viewfinder: July 2013
http://alookatlifethroughmyviewfinder.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 7, 2013. When the mountains fall. And the tempest roars You are with me. Still my soul will soar on Your mercy". When the world caves in. Still my hope will cling to Your promise. Where my courage ends. Let my heart find strength in Your presence". I'll walk through the fire With my head lifted high. And my spirit revived in Your story. And I'll look to the cross. As my failure is lost In the light of Your glorious grace.". Let the ruins come to life. In the beauty of Your Name. I Heart Face...

A look at life through my viewfinder: War of 1812
http://alookatlifethroughmyviewfinder.blogspot.com/2012/06/war-of-1812.html
Sunday, June 17, 2012. O' Say can you see. The Blue Angels! This weekend in Baltimore there was a sailabration to mark the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. For those who don't know this is where Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner. Here in Maryland, we were privileged to have the Blue Angels and tall ships and battleships from many different countries. Hundreds if not thousands flocked to Inner Harbor of Baltimore. The best part of this weekend for me were the Blue Angels. I made a post...

A.K.A.: March 2009
http://bedifamilyblog.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. Sunday, March 22, 2009. Today Addison is six months old. It is hard to believe six months have passed already. It feels like she was just born a few weeks ago. I still remember bringing her home from the hospital and me worrying about her "floppy" neck. Now she is trying to sit on her own. . Addison is such a joy! Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Not too sure about peas. I want more applesauce. In the middle of Feb. Addison started trying some new foods. We started off with ...Poor ...

Thursday, March 31, 2011. Coming to a Heim family near you. One Jackson Robert! This past Tuesday my family (grandma Heim included) went to discover our 3rd baby's sex. Almost everyone besides me and my mom believed that this baby was going to be a girl. Even the night before Rebecca kept referencing the baby as her or she. I would interrupt her with "you mean him or his? Well, sure enough we are having A BOY! Baby's name: Jackson Robert (named after Rebecca's grandfather and father). This blog is about ...
