Books to the Sky. On: October 17, 2009. Stuff we actually like. I am both a romance reader and a history nerd, so you can imagine the little thrill I felt when I stumbled upon this post on Racy Romance Reviews. About Kathleen Winsor, “a romance foremother,” who wrote a book that frankly sounds awesome, if only because the Massachusetts government tried to ban it. Account and made a list of the romances I gave 4 or 5 stars to. I think it’s a pretty serviceable list. In no particular order:. By Nora Robert...

Shadyside Snark: September 2014
http://shadysidesnark.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Come visit Fear Street . IF YOU DARE. Monday, September 29, 2014. The Vampire Club or "How Crazy Can R.L. get in 20 pages? I can't even tell you the mix of emotions I had reading an R.L. book for the first time in years. There was joy, nostalgia and a healthy dose of wtf-am-i-reading. Also, since I had never read "The Vampire Club" before, there wasn't too much nostalgia. So my reaction was pretty heavy on the WTF. That one almost made sense. Like evil can seduce you? God, I've missed his writing. Kind o...

Books to the Sky. Somehow, i still like to read. Some links and things. 8220;new” “chick” “lit”. On: August 15, 2009. I think this Jezebel headline says it all: Is “New Chick Lit” Just a Different Kind of Obnoxious? It makes me think of that episode of Sex and the City. In which Carrie goes apartment hunting only to find that things in her price range are tiny. The first time I saw it, I thought that it was maybe the first episode of the whole darn series that showed my. 8221; This is appealing how?

Come visit Fear Street . IF YOU DARE. Thursday, May 27, 2010. Sweetheart, Evil Heart or "Cheating Kills. In Increasingly Random Ways.". Oooo do I love Valentine’s Day horrors! I think it’s the combination of love, teenaged lust and murder. Guaranteed to be sexy times, right? Oh wait, we’re reading an R.L. Stine book. Never mind. There will be zero sexiness involved. Well, lets hope someone dies at least. This book centers around Ty Sullivan and his lovely THREE girlfriends. Yes, three. Why? Oh, right, 16...

Tales of a former walking highlighter: August 2010

Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Nothing I ever write will ever top this. One of my favorite authors (who actually does not write young adult novels, shocker), Bret Easton Ellis, has done his spin on the BSC. If you've read "Less Than Zero" or any of his other books you'll get the tone of it, but even if you haven't, it's hilarious. I pretty much died of happiness. Here's a link:. If you haven't read the BSC prequel yet, get on it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.
