Clot, blackhead, foul carbuncle, poisonous pustule, ignorant little slug, witless weed, empty-headed hampster, stupid glob of glue! For the most mesmerizing descriptions which make me feel as though I am reading them for the first time, even hundreds of times later! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. https://kameosa.wordpress.com/about
This blog will accompany my leap into the wonderful world of libraries as I begin my MA in Library and Information Services Management at Sheffield (Distance Learning), and my first full-time library job at a further education college. The blog is named Kameosa due to my love of all things Japanese! And working as a Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant in schools. I was certain I wanted to work in education, but perhaps not as a class teacher, and after getting a part-time job working in...

A Streetdog named Sparklepooch. August 13, 2015. Here is a link to a children’s story I’ve been working on. I’d be so grateful of any feedback! Https:/ www.wattpad.com/myworks/47152004-a-streetdog-named-sparklepooch. It follows the adventures of a sassy streetdog named Mud, reluctantly catapulted into a life of fashion, fame and Furrari’s when she is picked out from the pound by popstar Kandy Kane. Punk and Politics in your local library! August 11, 2015. A really exciting project my brother is working on with Bedford Creative Arts:. Http:/ www.bedfordcreativearts.org.uk/index.php/library-as-laboratory/. What’s happening down at your local library? If you’re in Central Bedfordshire it might not be what you expect. Libraries are a stockpile of knowledge and local history, but with more people accessing information online, how can the library of the future thrive? A Streetdog named Sparklepooch.

July 8, 2015. Much for visiting my blog, I’m so glad you stumbled across it! Whilst the purpose of this blog is to document my adventures in becoming a Librarian, whilst I await the start of my new job and course I am hugely grateful to Liz McGlyn for her inspiring post on the Hack Library School blog which will give me something to post about in the meantime, and hopefully also a way to introduce myself! Liz asks……’What draws you to librarianship? There’s something, right? Many of the working environmen...

August 11, 2015. I just wanted to sing the praises of this free site which teaches you the basics of CSS, HTML and Javascript through a series of short projects. I had never played around with any of the above before, and found the step by step tutorials really helpful and the projects were really fun, simple enough to boost your confidence but challenging enough to ensure I got stuck a few times too! August 30, 2015. Reporting back after my first few weeks in the new job! It’s been enrollment, so it’s been all hands on deck and I haven’t yet had the chance to do anything library related apart from sneak a peek at the books! The library has been transformed into the enrollment centre and all the bookshelves have been moved to one side, and I’m just desperate to get them all back to their rightful place and see the library back in action! My course starts at the end of September so I’m also looki...
