Teaching the Crew: Really? REALLY??

http://teachingthecrew.blogspot.com/2014/05/really-really.html

An imperfect record of an imperfect homeschool. Monday, May 26, 2014. How can it be possible that my oldest child is graduating? Rest assured, you who have little ones. Bible centered and literature based education works. My daughter has done well and is prepared for whatever the Lord brings for her future. Please feel free to leave kind words, new ideas, requests for recipes, even gentle criticism if needed in the spirit of Proverbs 16:24. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Teaching the Crew: January 2014

http://teachingthecrew.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

An imperfect record of an imperfect homeschool. Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Everyone likes to have an idea of how well their child is reading. I found a nice little assessment page that will help you find the approximate matching grade level for your child's reading skill. You simply have the child read the column of words and mark when they make a mistake. After reading to a certain threshold (which is explained in the directions), you have their reading level. Simple! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The blogworthy happenings of our family of ten. Sunday, January 12, 2014. In our home, we LOVE to cook! Recently, I found a site with all sorts of neat vintage recipes. I am currently making an orange marmalade. That is very similar in method to the citrus marmalade featured at this site. As I browsed around there were lots of recipes that caught my eye. What a great resource! If you make something tasty or interesting, please let me know! Labels: around the house. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A blog of the meals I feed my family of ten. The Best Primal Cookie. 9:49 PM Posted In cookies. I found this recipe on the MDA forum. Posted by TabithaToes. I haven't tried it yet, but have a mind to tomorrow. :) This reportedly makes 8-10 cookies and is easily modified by changing extracts and nut combinations, subbing out the chopped nuts with dried fruit, or adding cocoa powder. Some folks even froze the dough after rolling it into balls, for easy future cookies or a quick, frosty snack. Drop by heapi...

Teaching The Crucible | Lessons, Activities, and Ideas for Teaching The Crucible by Arthur Miller

Lessons, Activities, and Ideas for Teaching The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Why I Like Teaching The Crucible. October 4, 2013. Some of my colleagues seriously dislike teaching. But I’ve always enjoyed it. They say it is boring and dated and irrelevant, and generally not a lot of fun. And while all of those things can be true, I don’t think any of them have to be. I think the key is to not get bogged down with detail in. Just don’t do any of it too much. Keep in mind when you are teaching. As a quick, fast...
