takes her life back: Venezia Parte Due!
http://christinatakesherlifeback.blogspot.com/2008/03/venezia-parte-due.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. The next day I woke up, got out of the hotel and went to see Piazza San Marco in the light of day. I don't think words can express what a magical sight Venice is, the skies were bright blue, the sun was shining making all the gold on the buildings glitter and because it was not high season there were not a lot of tourists. Perfect! The following day we went to the local market where we saw all the food the locals were buying for their lunch and dinner,. I started this adventure in...

Thursday, January 29, 2009. So a final thought may be long overdue to close this particular chapter and move on to the next. Last time around I told stories of music and mice. This time, a bit different. So I moved back to Miami and back home. Four months later I am slowly getting over the culture shock, the lack of the use of the turn signal, the Spanish spoken everywhere, and all the other nuances that make Miami a particularly interesting place. With that being said, I sign off and go out there to enj...

Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Traveling to Asia - A recap. Well I am long overdue on an update for the blog. I thought to do a bit of a Q&A post about the Asia trip as I was asked some interesting and funny questions. Is the Thai food one finds in the US authentic? Yep, with the exception of the tripe (intestines), all the food I had in Thailand was very similar to the food served in Thai restaurants here. What was your favorite place? Was everything made in China? What was my least favorite place? I cou...

Thursday, May 22, 2008. Time for a break? Today was a lovely and most productive day; the sun came out, I had some great music on, I had a good meeting and all was well. I had been feeling quite uninspired with my blogging and other creative pursuits for a few days and had no plans to write a post today, however an article I read today got me thinking. And I read about 50 of the over 700 comments about said article. It got me thinking. Am I sharing too much information about myself on the internet? I def...

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Surf Goddess Retreat - Part 2. On Monday our day started like every other; yoga, breakfast and surfing. After a morning of hard work we were off to the ultimate field trip. An afternoon of spa treatments at Prana Spa, a tremendously gorgeous place which has an Indian sort of theme. It was impossible not to feel like an exotic princess at this place! It almost felt like being in another country. Links to this post. Monday, October 29, 2007. Surf Goddess Retreat - Part 1. Monday, June 16, 2008. An Unintentional Music Monday - Swervedriver. Coincidentally I went to a concert last Thursday and as it happens I am only writing about the show today, hence the unintentional Music Monday. A couple of months ago I was perusing Time Out Magazine and saw that a band called Swervedriver. I made my way to Brooklyn at about 9:15 thinking by this time I had missed the opening bands, which would be my usual modus operandi. Apparently not - nope, nobody had played yet. So I check...At ab...
