Look" is an pair of creepy eyes looking through a slot, occasionally blinking. The eyes follow as the viewer walks by. Sometimes you can hear a grunt from behind the slot. Look" is a collaboration between myself and Scott Hutchison. Scott created the painted animation and the wooden box, I developed the PIR detection system and software to drive the animation. Blame" is an interactive kinetic sculpture consisting of a robotic arm with a pointing hand on the end that scans the gallery, and when it finds a viewer, the arm stops with the hand pointing at the viewer, and then the sculpture proceeds to blame the viewer for some horrible crime against society. Sycophant explores the relationship between viewers and a human-like robot. The human head is mounted on a motorized base which moves along a track. As a viewer walks by, the head follows on the track, while plying him or her with a cornucopia of compliments such as "I really like your hair" and "You look really hot!
