In the basement of Stone Hall in Harvard’s Quincy House, the six of us. Chanted this Swahili children’s song to learn how to pronounce vowels in Swahili. The presentation of our work over the three weeks was received by warm applause in a room packed with audience. After everyone left, our mentor, Juan, came over to us. Beyond the usual thank-you and good-bye, he remarked:.
