Nikhil S: October 2008
http://nikkhils.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. माझे आभाल. आथावाच्या. पारुन्दिला. बांधू. वार्या. I had watched this movie "टिंग्या - Tingya (the small one)" a while back and was blown away by the performance of the little child actor. This movie had just this one song and it talked about sharing. Your dreams, your aspirations, your comforts with each other. Pretty interesting movie overall, recommended watching. Nikhil S: You Can't Touch This!
http://nikkhils.blogspot.com/2009/06/you-cant-touch-this.html
Monday, June 8, 2009. You Can't Touch This! I hope many remember the good old DD pre-MTV days (those who have been fortunate. Enough to have seen that one-channel era :p) when they used to show the Grammy Awards winner segment as a 30-minute summary. Many of the songs, artists that I ended up listening later were picked up from those segments. One song that made a big impression then was " You Can't Touch This. I hope I do get to be a part of such a " You Can't Touch This. Flashmob someday :D Don't you?

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. My mother tongue is umm. How many sentences can you converse in chaste Hindi without adding a dash of some English? Most of you (including yours truly) will answer 1 or 2 at maximum. Yes sirree, the entire nation has been afflicted with this Hinglish flu! Its everywhere, on TV, news, media, the newspaper, the college katta or the office smoke rooms! Am glad we are not the only ones who have been linguistically corrupted :P. Our tongue now is marathinglish :p. Sunshine makes me Ha...

Nikhil S: August 2008

Monday, August 18, 2008. No sirree, I am not talking about the dreaded Klu Klux Klan or something. I am talking about the recently concluded "Khatron Ke Khiladi" - the desi version of "Fear Factor". I used to watch the original once in a while and people could hear me muttering "Apparently, fear is not a factor for you! Infact, even Pi. Maybe that is why he is the real king of the masses. Take a look at the reruns once in a while if you can. Links to this post. Monday, August 11, 2008. Another very inter...

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I sometimes wish that India too would develop such an organized system to showcase our history which I think is so colorful and varied in its own right! Anyways, back to home-sweet-home, back to terra-firma and back to the grind :). Here are some pics of my trip. Check them out! Links to this post. Monday, March 23, 2009. As I was discussing with one German who said "As long as the Japanese send their kids to Germany for vacation, I wouldn't believe that they are in recession!

Nikhil S: November 2008

Wednesday, November 19, 2008. I know people have hobbies. Some usual, some unusual. I watched the movie Trainspotting. Yesterday (directed by Danny Boyle of Slumdog fame) and out of habit (or hobby! P) made my way to the wikipedia. So it seems that standing all through the day and looking at trains plying between stations is actually a hobby! Some have the hobby of travelling and visiting as many metro or rail systems as they can! Pretty interesting these railfans! So what's your trainspottin? And others...

Thursday, February 26, 2009. Hmmm, I really think Freida Pinto is going to make a career for herself in Hollywood. Not even Aishwarya Rai has made proper inroads in so many years and Freida has already been on all the needed-to-be-on shows including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Oprah etal. Plus she looks awesome on the red carpet! I just hope we don't have to ever say - " Afraid. Pinto didn't make it" :P. Links to this post. Friday, February 6, 2009. Contact - Part Deux. Nikhil S: December 2008
http://nikkhils.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 23, 2008. So I am driving down to office and a teenage girl is driving along-side on a two-wheeler with her granddad riding on the pillion. All of a sudden her hair gets loose and starts going helter-skelter in the wind. Like any respectable teenager she seems concerned because of the disarray in her appearance. Granddad to the rescue! With one hand he balances himself lest he falls down and the other hand lovingly forms a temporary hair band to keep it in place! Links to this post.

Nikhil S: Have you seen my childhood...
http://nikkhils.blogspot.com/2009/06/have-you-seen-my-childhood.html
Thursday, June 25, 2009. Have you seen my childhood. The other day, I was singing (trying to sing is the best way to put it) "Childhood" by Michael Jackson to Neil. And today while driving down to office I get to hear of MJ's death :(. He was a big impression while growing up and in some ways I was pained with his downfall, all the bad publicity, rumors about his humongous debts and the constant criticism that he was surrounded by for close to 10-15 years. Have you seen my Childhood? No one understands me.
