Lesson Study and Action Research. My First Postgrad Pre-sessional – Advice to the future me (and whoever else). October 6, 2016. October 6, 2016. After a blissful few weeks’ teaching in Vietnam it was a bit of a shock to the system beginning my first pre-sessional at Warwick University. I have some EAP experience, mostly in-sessional at undergrad level, but the postgrad pre-sessional is quite unique so this was a real crash course. The Warwick course has 2 strands:. The course was very much a reading.

Lesson Study and Action Research. My Life Story: Expressing the Hypothetical with Cuisenaire Rods. May 23, 2016. May 23, 2016. This post was inspired by an ELTJam post. Lesson Study and Action Research. Power to the Teacher! May 11, 2016. May 18, 2016. Teacher empowerment was the theme of this weekend’s. Ever conference. It was a hotbed of ELT activism, the perfect foil to the big-hitter IH BCN. And I left, yes, feeling really empowered. The best evidence of this being the massive to-do list I made, in fact so massive I may follow this up with a second post…. 1 Write a blog post or three. 2 Encourage gender equality in ELT. If you’re still in doubt ELFpron. Is a great r...

Fiona’s SEN workshop, irregular verbs – English Language Teaching

https://eltlaura.wordpress.com/2015/12/10/fionas-sen-workshop-irregular-verbs

Fiona’s SEN workshop, irregular verbs. December 10, 2015. Group them into categories with a visual image: hamburgers, peas, a mother and twins, and a mixed bag of sweets. I know this works because one of the few things I remember from my high-school Spanish is ‘shoe verbs,’ irregular verbs that has the pattern of a shoe when conjugated. How to share videos, photos, movenotes, etc. quickly using Padlet. November 23, 2016. One website I find invaluable for sharing my students’ work is padlet.com. This site allows you to create a webpage with its own url. When students access this site, they just have to click on the background and they can upload their projects. They can share photos, videos, text, anything really. I used it today after my class created news report videos on Movenote. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
