Teme Valley Vicar

Saturday, 5 July 2014. Stourport Deanery arranged "Encouraging Pastoral Care". The day was designed to be what it was called! Time for anyone interested in the church and pastoral care to come together for mutual encouragement. And that is exactly what it was. With Archdeacon Nikki as our keynote speaker we had 40 or so people stimulated by her insights. Workshops were on Pastoral Teams, End of Life Care, Healing and Pastoral care and (led by myself) Caring for Ourselves. That new people would bring abou...

Teme Valley Vicar: An Organist's Prayer

http://temevalleyrector.blogspot.com/2014/04/an-organists-prayer.html

Wednesday, 16 April 2014. Came across this recently which I hope all musicians might say "amen" to. An Organist’s Prayer. I am here to support the congregation, not to overwhelm them:. May I play quietly enough to hear their singing, firmly enough to keep it alive but not so fast that they can’t get their breath between verses. May I allow enough time for them to find the hymn before starting the first verse. Posted by Teme Valley Vicar. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thank you for visiting. I'm the...

Teme Valley Vicar: August 2013

http://temevalleyrector.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 28 August 2013. Eleven days when nothing happened. No, not my holiday, but September in Britain in 1752. History records that nothing happened in Britain from September the 3. To September the 13. Was followed by Thursday the 14. Nothing happened on the 3. The days didn’t exist! Changing for the sake of others is never easy whether it is for the sake of other nations of the world, other churches within a group or other members within a family. But ultimately that is what is needed for the ...

Teme Valley Vicar: May 2013

http://temevalleyrector.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, 16 May 2013. Had an excellent Pastoral Team meeting last night and have just published details of the team on the churches' website. We had a speaker from the local Social Services and we have a much clearer picture of how Social Services work and how we refer to/access them. It was two way. Social Services have a clearer picture of what we do and we will be doing a mapping exercise so that the local social worker knows what is going on across the whole of their patch. Free Range Vicar: October 2010

http://freerangevicar.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Monday, 11 October 2010. Not quite so free ranging any more. Yesterday evening was the harvest festival in the catheral and celebrated 150 years of RABI. It was also my last "official" function as Agricultural Chaplain and now I'm not quite so free range any more. I'm roosting at Hanley Broadheath and am licensed next month as Priest in Charge. Six and a half years as agricultural chaplain has been enormous fun, but parish minstry will also be great fun too. Monday, 4 October 2010. The Worcestershire You...

Free Range Vicar: Why so unappealing?

http://freerangevicar.blogspot.com/2010/07/why-so-unappealing.html

Sunday, 4 July 2010. On Saturday I went to a performance of Guys and Dolls @ the out door theatre @ Kilworth Hall Hotel. An excellent performance with a very good cast. It was a musical that I didn't know. I enjoyed it immensely. By the end of the story the "sinners" - the gamblers- had changed. But so had the Mission - and a good thing too. How is it that Mission and Church have managed to become so unappealing? Dear Free Ranger,. Mavis Snake Eyes Waterbutts. 7 July 2010 at 13:43. Thank you for visiting.

Wedding Photographers Worcester. Fun Natural Wedding Photographer Worcestershire. Wedding Photography Worcester.

My approach to wedding photography is a little unconventional at times and can be somewhat offbeat. It's often natural, it's occasionally quirky. It's always fun and it's always unique. It's also about you both being willing to do the unexpected, having a giggle, and trusting me to tell. Most couples think all of my photos are spontaneous. As if they just naturally happened like that. Many are, many are not. When you can't tell, it's the sign of a good wedding photographer. I'm not a. Love is all around.
