Just give me three more years.". Paul Maclean, as told by Norman Maclean (aka St. Norman). Friday, November 11, 2016. A Personal Veteran's Day Salute. I'd like to express my deep gratitude and admiration to Ralph Long of Ralph's Fly Box. Ralph spent more than a decade in the military. He had one of those jobs that constantly put him in danger. Ralph, thank you for everything you did and sacrificed to protect me and my family. When I pour my evening beer tonight, I raise my glass to you ,. Some of this st...

Creeks are open and I’m behind →. May 9, 2015. I sold a bike a few weeks back and decided to roll the funds into some fishing equipment. The first shipment of stuff arrived today. I haven’t bought line since my initial investment in tenkara gear several years ago. It was long overdue. Went with some brightly colored Sunline. I’m really looking forward to trying the colored stuff as I’m used to fishing the super old school TUSA stuff that is very drab and can be hard to see. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The Fading Angler: 2017: Uncharted
http://fading-angler.blogspot.com/2017/01/2017-uncharted.html
Just give me three more years.". Paul Maclean, as told by Norman Maclean (aka St. Norman). Monday, January 2, 2017. How am I gonna get down there. The only other part of the plan was for Mrs. Fading Angler to call the sheriff's office if I wasn't back by midnight. Everything else was that delusional force that drives anglers of all types: hope. I really had no idea. The bridge, the canyon, the Fading Angler, and. The hope that a fish will rise.". But it was fueled by hope. January 2, 2017 at 7:15 PM.

http://fading-angler.blogspot.com/2016/10/lost-in-southern-new-york.html
Just give me three more years.". Paul Maclean, as told by Norman Maclean (aka St. Norman). Friday, October 28, 2016. Lost in Southern New York. The best laid plans often don't make it past step 2. So I find myself with a day to wander alone in a strange land, looking for water to fish and hopefully not get a violation from a New York State conservation officer. (I was narrowly alerted that the water I wanted to fish is closed for spawning! Tomorrow will be better. Instead, I waded out, tossed a streamer ...

Just give me three more years.". Paul Maclean, as told by Norman Maclean (aka St. Norman). Sunday, December 25, 2016. 2016: An Idiot Finds a Village. My year began cold, solo, and guilt-ridden. A person really shouldn't feel guilty about what they've intended and planned for their blog, but a recovering perfectionist is subject to a different set of self-imposed standards. I started a series in 2015 entitled, " Opportunity Knocks. In March, I finished Part IV of the Opportunity Knocks series. My wife has...
