Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time: August 2016

http://testingfuntime.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html

Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time. Wednesday, 3 August 2016. Exploring Data - Creating Reactive Web Apps with R and Shiny. Back in May I taught myself a programming language called R. So that I could solve the problem of analysing large amounts of data collected as part of a survey of software testers. I decided I was going to solve this problem and the solution I chose was Shiny. Cloud so they can be shared with other people. Getting started with R. I would highly recommend using RStudio.

Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time: A Snapshot of Software Testers in 2016

http://testingfuntime.blogspot.com/2016/07/a-snapshot-of-software-testers-in-2016.html

Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time. Monday, 4 July 2016. A Snapshot of Software Testers in 2016. Exploring the data captured by my survey may give us clues as to how and why people are entering software testing as a career. The results could help dispel myths around hiring testers such as what the average tester looks like on paper and if we share any similar traits. For some people, the results of this survey may open their eyes to any bias or prejudice they may hold. Given that such a lar...

Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time. Monday, 8 February 2016. Data Mocking - A way to test the untestable. Imagine you are testing a piece of software which displays the names of local businesses as values as a drop-down list. This software might look something like this. There are only three items on this list at the moment, but this may not always be the case. You have been asked to test the drop-down box. What would you do? One of the big advantages with mock data is that it makes it poss...

Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time: Test Bash Manchester 2016

http://testingfuntime.blogspot.com/2016/10/test-bash-manchester-2016.html

Mega Ultra Super Happy Software Testing Fun Time. Tuesday, 25 October 2016. Test Bash Manchester 2016. Usually Test Bash events in the UK are held in Brighton making them a bit inaccessible to people living in the North. However this changed on Friday 21st October when I was lucky enough to attend Test Bash Manchester, a software testing conference held at the Lowry in Salford Quays. Organised by Richard Bradshaw @friendlytester. And Rosie Sherry @rosiesherry. The main thing I took from this talk was tha...

Curious to investigate, practice, question, explore, unlearn and learn by thinking elementally to know how I'm fooling myself. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Log Writing, Helps! I was looking at that tool used for automation. The company had brought it for license. Those were the QTP (initial version), WinRunner and LoadRunner days. This tool was something which I had not heard at all when I asked my friends. The printing of details in the log helped us lot. To remember is, even the log consumes the space on sys...
