Chez le laquet!: Am I getting ready?
http://laquet.blogspot.com/2013/07/am-i-getting-ready.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Am I getting ready? So - off to France on Sunday. Packing - vaguely started . I mean really vaguely - there's an open suitcase on the chest of drawers and I've made a little collection of clothes that could do with a wash and a freshen up before I wonder if they might possibly go with me. They might just go straight back into the wardrobe instead. This whole indecision thing that I do is rubbish isn't it . or is it? Posted by Le laquet. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 11:26:00 am.

Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Is what we will be mainly eating tonight. It is unfeasible that something this SIMPLE tastes sooooooo good! Even fish-haters will find this a simple delight. Photos to follow. 1 lb cod fillet (or another favoured white fish). 1/4 cup butter, melted. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/8 teaspoon white pepper. If fish fillets are large, cut into serving sized pieces. Mix butter and lemon juice. In another bowl, mix flour, salt and white pepper. Everyday I read .

Chez le laquet!: Karla's courgette soup
http://laquet.blogspot.com/2013/07/karlas-courgette-soup_19.html
Friday, July 19, 2013. My parents had a friend called Karla. A dear old German lady with impeccable manners and full of loving kindness who flirted uproariously with my father and swore in a bad English accent. She had been a midwife in the East End (of London) working with the Jewish community right after the second World War - it can't have been easy but it made for a great sense of humour! This is her recipe - perfect if you have a glut of courgettes! 500g courgettes, thickly sliced. 1 onion, chopped.

A web designer turns 50 and all hell breaks loose. How the Flu Hid the Mouse in the Wall. Consider Donating Generously to the Small Business of Your Choice. The Fine Art of Staying Positive. An Essay for Easter. March 23, 2008. When are you grown up? I used to think the measure was based on an absolute age. The laws say we can drink at 18 or 21. We can drive at 16. There is an age we are allowed to marry and join the army. I don’t mean television or fiction. I mean the first time you really truly und...

A web designer turns 50 and all hell breaks loose. Suburban Homesteading or Stirring my Way to Economic Calm. Over 50 – Dressing Up. January 2, 2015. When I was younger and had better skin (and lord knows a much better body) I didn’t worry too much about choosing a dress for a special event. I never stressed about it because as long as it fit my taste (and was within my favorite color scheme) I figured it would be fine. In dresses I thought looked quite nice. 2008 Ralph Lauren. Just gorgeous. Fill in you...

A web designer turns 50 and all hell breaks loose. The Engagement. Thoughts by the Mother of the Bride. Over 50 – Dressing Up. Suburban Homesteading or Stirring my Way to Economic Calm. November 3, 2008. I suppose everyone has their own way of handling economic uncertainty. Most of the people I know have been watching stock prices and financial news the way we all watch The Weather Channel when we know a hurricane is coming. I, oddly, was hit by a major and unexpected case of homestead-itis. Really.
