Sunday, October 12, 2014. More Purple Baby Hats for Charity. Here are the hats that I made recently for Click for Babies: Period of Purple Crying Caps. A Child’s Light. The hats are handed out to babies born in November and December (where I am) to help make parents aware of what normal infant crying is. This is to help prevent shaken baby syndrome. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Tuesday Tot Craft Time: Scarecrow Paper Dolls. We went to the library's craft drop in today. Today's craft was making paper scarecrows. They provided the kids with 3 pieces of paper: an outline of a person, overalls, and a shirt and hat. They also had markers, scissors, and glue sticks. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Turn your jeans into a long skirt. First you have to use a seam ripper and remove the inner seams. You also have to seam rip up to the base of the zipper on the front, and up to the belt loop on the back (between the pockets). Next cut off the excess fabric, fold it over, and hem stitch the raw edges down. I made sure to stitch over the first stitches so as not to make the skirt even tighter. Over lap the front flaps how you want them, pin, and sew them using a hem stitch.

Sunday, August 22, 2010. Yesterday we bought 4 hermit crabs for my oldest son. I haven't had hermit crabs in 7 years. I love them! I use to have 22 hermit crabs in a 20 gallon tank. I had made different levels and fun climbing things for them. One adventurous hermit crab had no problems climbing it. I did need to anchor the bottom down a bit. Thursday, April 2, 2015. One of the challenges was to use novelty yarn. The challenge was inspired by Dumbo's magic feather that gave him the confidence to fly. So I made this simple garter stitch scarf using Euro Yarns Fashion Fur yarn and a size 11 needle. I cast on 15 stitches, and I just knitted every row until I ran out of yarn.
