That time in rome. That time we went crazy. April 19, 2012. You know that old folktale about a full moon making people go crazy? They got it wrong. The moon doesn’t make people go crazy. Packing does. If I had to guess, I’d assume some nomadic tribe of cavemen started the legend. They probably packed up camp every month by the moon’s cycle, and when the all the head cavemen started freaking out with stress, they just attributed it to the moon. Where are tent pegs? Must have tent pegs! I beat you with club.

That time in rome. Newer posts →. April 1, 2012. March 31, 2012. That time we had a fire drill. March 31, 2012. I’ve never been a fan of fire drills. Not that anyone is. You don’t see doing fire drills pop up too often on someone’s Facebook interests list. And if it does, you usually un-friend the person who listed it. Because they’re obviously mentally unstable. You know how you watch an episode of Family Guy and your IQ immediately drops two points? It was like that. Then we shuffled downstairs and met...

Predictable but Articulate Misadventures in Italy. In which students with no Italian ancestry pretend not to be tourists. Differences: Cultural and Culinary. January 29, 2012. A field related to advertising is fashion: advertisements of the body. Here, Italy keeps higher standards in general. Businessmen and others wear shiny, plasticky cowboy boot-type shoes. One guy wore a close-cut suit-coat and trousers to the grocery store. I’ve seen multiple cravats. I still maintain that Seattle is the prettiest c...

Predictable but Articulate Misadventures in Italy. In which students with no Italian ancestry pretend not to be tourists. I'm a college student studying both writing and communications. Hobbies include reading, juggling, and filling out social network bios. February 23, 2012. There were plenty of Italian films that I didn’t recognize, but remain confident were high quality. The one that left the largest impact on me, I’m sorry to say, was an animated 2010 one featuring about five disturbi...Fresh blood s...

Predictable but Articulate Misadventures in Italy. In which students with no Italian ancestry pretend not to be tourists. In which I attempt a spot of travel-writing…. January 29, 2012. Picking a highlight from the past week would be about as difficult as keeping a bumblebee in an elephant cage. That is to say, there’s a whole bundle of wonderful things about Rome, and some of the most awesome are truly the smallest. Together, however, they all lump together to make one big lump of wonderment. The motori...

Predictable but Articulate Misadventures in Italy. In which students with no Italian ancestry pretend not to be tourists. I lack musical talent, but work like a beaver on acid at guitar and electronic music/recording anyway. I read pretty much everything I can get my hands on. Thrillers to Fantasy to History/Mythology. Predictable but Articulate Misadventures in Italy. In which students with no Italian ancestry pretend not to be tourists. Rome Dressed in White. February 8, 2012. Also appearing in The Cabinet, Geneva College’s Student newspaper). Apparently Huns and snow are the only two things that have the ability to make Rome grind to a screeching halt. Upon the day in question, it was snow. Not so in Rome. The city decided that the most practical course of action would be to roll over and die for several days. Walke...

Predictable but Articulate Misadventures in Italy. In which students with no Italian ancestry pretend not to be tourists. February 23, 2012. Our Wednesdays here in Italy are entirely dedicated to assorted field trips. We’ve explored museums, monuments, and countless cathedrals (something like three… I guess I could count them if I really felt like it), but last Wednesday saw us at an entirely new location: Cinecittà. It’s the Italian version of Hollywood. Leave a note Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

that time i went to thailand
That time i went to thailand. Friday, August 25, 2006. Just a notice to all and sundry that i am home, safe and sound. i'm desperately trying to reacclimate myself to north america (the weather here is fabulous, though i'm not as sweat-proof as i hoped i'd be) and process my trip. how does one integrate the lessons of an adventure into the torpor of everyday life? On a related topic, does anyone know any good books along the lines of finding God in your achingly boring life? Wednesday, August 23, 2006.
