Tips and advice for job seekers and what ’s happening at isabont. Why the heck do we need process(es)? September 3, 2008. And why am I reading this, and what are you getting at! Well, I used to drive my consulting teams crazy with the question “why do we need processes? 8221; Now the kicker here is that most consulting firms define themselves as ‘process’ and/or ‘strategy’. And, therefore, their consulting staff is labeled either ‘process’ or ‘strategy’. And that, my friend, is great circular logic.

My Next Quest: November 2007
http://mynextquest.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 21, 2007. So, I haven't blogged in a month. It happens. I've been struggling with a couple of research papers that I waited far too long to start, but it looks like I won't have any problems getting them in on time. I just need to edit a lot. Hard to believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving already. It's crazy to think 2007 is winding down and my first semester of grad school will be over in less than a month. (YESSSSS! Links to this post. My Next Quest: June 2008
http://mynextquest.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2008. After a crushing loss in the third overtime of Game 5, the Wings brought their game to Pittsburgh and WON THE STANLEY CUP! Tonight they would not be denied, despite some good, desperate play by the Penguins (and a little help from a horrid penalty call late in the third period). But, for now, it's the WINGS! My Next Quest: September 2007

Tuesday, September 18, 2007. 3 Classes Vacation = GAAAAAH! OK, so the next time I figure I can be taking three classes and go on vacation and stay at my dad's where there's no internet access, kick me in the head a couple of times. That way, I can get the pain out of the way and maybe gain a bit of sense. On the plus side, I get to eat lots of nice stuff at Panera Bread, which is where I have to go to get free Wi-Fi. What a humongous pain in the ass. Next time, I'm waiting for the semester break. Given t...

My Next Quest: January 2008
http://mynextquest.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 26, 2008. My second semester of grad school started this week. So far it hasn't been too strenuous. Of course, the first week rarely is. There were a couple of discussion-forum assignments, nothing too difficult, and one chapter from each textbook. Each class also has a group project. Ack. I can't wait to be done with these IT core classes and get into the telecom-specific ones. Links to this post. Well, I've made my decision:. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My Next Quest: I stayed up late for this?
http://mynextquest.blogspot.com/2008/04/i-stayed-up-late-for-this.html
Thursday, April 17, 2008. I stayed up late for this? Nashville 3, Wings 2, and Hasek got pulled. Sad, really sad. Now we're treading on all-too-familiar territory- another great regular-season performance, another embarrassing early playoff exit (potentially). Of course, they're not any closer to elimination than Nashville, but, based on the first two games of the series, they should have finished them off last night. Still, this should have been a five-game series at most. View my complete profile.

My Next Quest: Two down, 14 to go
http://mynextquest.blogspot.com/2008/04/two-down-14-to-go.html
Saturday, April 12, 2008. Two down, 14 to go. That was a strange kind of game. It was kind of a donut- all Red Wings except for a hole in the middle. Not that Dom could have been blamed for the freaky off-the-boards bounce that resulted in Nashville's first goal, but that followed by Lilja's giveaway shortly thereafter (he gets one of those per playoff, but this time it didn't cost them the series) had the boys looking down a bit.
