Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Interview with Jackson Pearce! As You Wish is your first published book- YAY! Is there anything you could get for Christmas that could top finally seeing your book on the shelves after all the time spent preparing it for your readers? To be honest.no! Nothing realistic, anyway. If we're going for unrealistic, I'd like to get a long, stable writing career with lots of good books. But I don't think that fits in a stocking :). What got you started as a writer? Separate writing fro...

Sunday, January 27, 2008. Jazz Hands and Chair-Sharing - Or - A Lovely Night. So, the other night, I and my cousins met the fantastically frickin' fabulous Libba Bray and Shannon Hale. I know, right? It was awesome. They were awesome. Shannon Hale likened me to a character in a book she's working on. Which was very exciting. I shared a chair with Libba Bray. Again, very exciting. We cousins got to actually give Libba Bray the cookies we'd promised her in exchange for the interview! Homemade, of course.

Friday, March 28, 2008. 160;memed me. Hoorah! The thing that has been said most to me by strangers is either "I love your hair! Or "What's that on your arm? I got letters from a faerie when I was young(er). If I had been born a boy, my mother would have named me Nathan. Or perhaps Edgar Allen. In preschool, for Hallowe'en, I was Jeannie from the television show "I Dream of Jeannie". I adore cemeteries and swingsets. I was Mary, Queen of Scots in my former life. And whatever they may say about me,. A faer...

Saturday, November 29, 2008. The mob screams BUYBUYBUY. And of course, we do. We heed that call. They chanted "push the doors in" and trampled a man to death. To death. But I can't really feel okay saying "they". It places the blame on the one group, rather than all of us. And it is all of us. That one Long Island Wal-Mart was not the only place where violence broke out. All across the the country, people were- are- willing to hurt others for something so trivial as a holiday sale. That I'd read it, it w...
