June 17, 2014. This is my late uncle Jess. He was a hard worker, serial entrepreneur and the reason I’m happy working 100 hours a week so I don’t have to work 40 hours a week for someone else. Most importantly, I want a legacy for my children. Whether they decide to pursue the restaurant later in life, I can only hope that they learn and appreciate the value of hard work, community, and passion. Papa Jess, I miss you. I have learned so much from you. More than you’ll ever know. January 17, 2014. Fish sau...

Life In A Nutshell: Uh-Huh…Shit
http://www.ourlifeinanutshell.com/2015/08/uh-huhshit.html
Life In A Nutshell. Saturday, 8 August 2015. I believe that how you view life directly affects the way your life transpires. If you are friendly and happy, the chances are that people (even strangers) will be friendly and happy back to you. If you treat those around you with respect and listen to their concerns, then generally they will respect you. Well, until we noticed that the washer door wouldn’t shut and the catch had somehow gotten broken. SHIT! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life In A Nutshell: More Rain Today
http://www.ourlifeinanutshell.com/2015/08/more-rain-today.html
Life In A Nutshell. Thursday, 6 August 2015. We have had two days of kind of crazy weather. The days were just fine until the late afternoon and then the lightning, thunder, rain, high winds and hail hit. The brunt of the storm lasted for an hour or two, but by then the hail and wind had done considerable damage. Hail damage to cars of course and quite a lot of property damage. I feel for all of those people and wish them a quick return to normal. More rain today…. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

I am pretty sure that I am just getting a little forgetful, but there is always the worry about Alzheimer’s of course. No one in my family has a history of losing memory, but you never know. Life In A Nutshell. Saturday, 31 January 2015. I’m not sure why, but I was lying in bed this morning thinking of pay phones. It would be nice to think that the memory was the last remnants of a particularly wonderful dream, not just some random thought that spun itself into my brain. I guess anything that takes coins is fair game in Vegas. I kind of miss the pay phones; just seeing them gave me a feeling of being in touch no matter where I found myself in the world. I kind of miss phone booths, but I hav...

Sorry. 1 ½ CUPS SUGAR 1 CUP SOUR CREAM. 189; CUP SHORTENING 1 TSP SODA. 1 EGG 2 CUPS FLOUR. 1 cup finely chopped rhubarb.
Life In A Nutshell: Flower Pots
http://www.ourlifeinanutshell.com/2015/08/flower-pots.html
Life In A Nutshell. Monday, 3 August 2015. There is a painting on the front of the package of a country lane and fence that are surrounded by gorgeous flowers. I don’t need to fill a country lane or line a walkway, I just need to fill a pot or two with beautiful, multi-coloured blooms. This should be pretty easy…. They are growing very well and with any luck they will have colourful flowers. The plus is that next year I should have a whole yard and garden full of them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life In A Nutshell. Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Enjoy Your Cat Videos. I find I get disappointed when I do something and no one notices. He began making Dua and went down to make Sajdah and stayed like that for a while. He began to cry and think about how much he loved Allah. He knew that...
